  5. Wow, great book, nice pick up, soooo tough to find! That's one of the last Aces I'm looking for. Seems I will probably be looking for a loooong time! Thanks Robot that's means a lot man I hold your evaluation in the highest esteem!! you have put together quite the plethora of treasures yourself!! I have only ever seen JB and Myst's copies and both were via the Ace thread. Both higher grade than this but I do think this copy presents very well for the grade it kind of got hammered for the staining and their is a peice out of the back cover but it doesn't affect the ad! I think this copy may go to the GRAVE with me...fitting given it's cover art
  6. Wow awesome pickup Pons and awesome books gents!!! Those Champs are SUPER neat!! I too was following and bidding up those books myself so my apologies The #21 went for big money!!! I definitely paused my bidding in order to add this ACE up my sleeve though!! I think I only paid somewhere around 40 times guide for it too so don't feel bad but I HAD to have it and treated it like I wouldn't have another opportunity anytime soon if ever...couldnt even make it 2 ft from the from door before I ripped it out of the package
  7. It came from a pretty Rockin' collection!! (thumbs u
  8. I don't have many, but here are the few that I have so far...
  9. Awesome Books Parker!! "Bring me back the head of Spy Smasher!"
  10. I don't know what's more impressive though those centaur runs or that sweet coast 2 coast bucket!! WOW...that was pretty serious shot!!
  11. I always thought of it more as a Hooded Villain with an Axe-Babe-Bat-Clock Tower cover
  12. Really neat book there!! Awesome cover...congrats on knockin another off the want list (thumbs u
  13. You sure did Robot Man, you got a TON of sweet books dude!!! Heres another Schomburg, "Hooded Guy" cover that I am pretty fond of...
  14. Not impossible but dang near!! the double deuce is pretty tough too from what I gather...these books may simply be locked up in collections though who knows... they are the epitome of Classic
  15. This is one of the two Allentown books I've been able to put in the boxes. It's the only one I've got a scan of & the only Fox Allentown in my collection. Looks good next to your Allentown Mystery Men Billy Boy (thumbs u He Shoots........HE SCORES!!!!!
  16. I know but your humble collection is still something to applaud...If it was a rockshow brother you could still be the headliner
  17. From the Super Mystery I posted over in the ACE thread...I like how it lists the Bolded heroes with their stories and a short explanation and page number almost like chapters of a book...Plus look at those sweet books!! It would only be cooler if they were in color like some of the others
  18. Awesome just the way it is!!! (thumbs u
  19. Thanks Corey!!!!! I really appreciate that man!! someday we will have to meet up for a wicked group shot of all these cool funny books we have been acquiring!!! it's been real fun for sure and
  20. Probably because Ace financial backers included DC / Ind News "silent partner" and under-appreciated early-industry mastermind Paul Sampliner. If there'd been a problem, a quick trip down the street would probably have solved it. Wow! Didn't know that! But I've noticed from some of your other posts, you are extremely knowledgeable about 'insider' goings on and stats on/ about various golden age publishers. An asset and opinion of clarity to many a discussion on these boards. (thumbs u Absolutely great info and happy Ace was still able to give us THE Clown of the GA!!! (thumbs u
  21. That's a stunner and a heck of way to begin a ped set!!!!! (thumbs u
