  1. WOW WOW AND WOW!!! I concur with RM and C that #8 is just phenomenal!! NEVER see it for sale either thanks for posting it!!
  2. Darn straight brother hehe!! what can I say comics get me excited!!!!!!!!!!! If there would ever happen to be a Comcav sales thread (i know there won’t anytime soon but hypothetically speaking) the use of exclamation points would be astounding!!!! ?
  3. A couple books in this week...the Action from these boards and the ASM from my trip down to Florida where I found a neat little shop called Big Dog Comics. Guy had Tons of cool toys and oddball stuff. Super nice too he gave my son an Avengers poster and a Green Lantern Ring and we swore him into the Corp. It was about a half hour drive from where we were having dinner so I called him and he said he would stay open a little later for us to arrive which was Super nice I thought. Guy was aptly nicknamed the, "Captain" and we shared some stories. I tried to get him to join the boards but couldn't reel him in.
  4. Thanks RM!!! Actually Corey and I were just discussing this via PM. I had mentioned the books really aren’t exactly bringing the big bucks especially given how rare some of them are and I think that is because of the blanket resto statement. Take the Four Favorites 6 for example. Such a tough book with a Top Ace cover and brought only $440 which is only a fraction of what a blue label would bring. Just not specific enough in the listings I guess. I have been bidding on some of them but I bid as if they were amateur restored (bc I think they all have been to some degree) and then I don’t have to worry about getting burned later on. For some of them like the Champ 22 from his collection I am just happy to have a copy until/if I am ever able to upgrade and heck I may even hang onto these if i do upgrade as they are nice readers.
  5. Thank you very much gentleman that is very informative and appreciated!!!
  6. Thanks brother I have racked up a couple of his cool books now. I am actually curious about his collection why wasn’t it considered a pedigree of sorts? I don’t own any ped books so I can’t speak to much to them other than Strawman has Tons of them haha!! Do they all have to be original owner I am assuming. At least they deserve to be from the collection of though don’t they or I am way off base? I didn’t know the guy or his collecting habits other than he wrote for a fanzine and had a plethora of cool books that he liked to repair in his spare time ?
  7. This definitely shares the most similarities with Suspense 3. The Sword, the bondage, the hooded men, Nazis, bullets flying, The level change in the background, heck even the tree. What’s different is that this has a true masked hero (red white and Blue none the less) and the Suspense has the Moon and bats which are a huge appeal that adds extra drama to the scene. There are other obvious things they don’t share in common but more or less this book in my opinion is the closest that we have to a Suspense 3. The All New is a little more Action packed which has its positives and negatives. I am actually suprised this book isn’t, “worth” more to be honest seeing as it’s still a tough book. There are only 15 copies on the census for the All New 8 vs 33 copies for the Suspense 3. I know that isn’t the best representation but they are both pretty awesome. Also the All New came out only 1 month after Suspense 3 so it’s not like they were too far apart newsstand wise. For what you can get bang for your buck wise I will take the All New 8 ALL DAY over the Suspense 3 and we haven’t even talked interior of the book yet!! I’m a fan haha!!
  8. I too love hypodermic needle covers!! Maybe it’s because I’m a Murse who knows haha!! I only seem to like them when there is a hero coming to the rescue to save the day though!!
  9. Hey Y’all just curious anyone heard from MrMyst? He was always one of my favorite posters and haven’t seen anything from him in awhile? I’m not tech savvy enough to see if there was a board name change anything but just curious i always enjoyed his presence. Thanks, Gino
  10. Well that didn’t take long!! Nice copy!!
  11. You’re quite welcome Sha!! Yeah I figured you meant loud but I chose to use it to describe your personality because you truly are one of the nicest people on these boards!! Always trying to help out others in need I think that is why you chose the profession you did. Subconsciously you just want to help and if everyone else showed the same amount of generosity and compassion you do towards others this world would be a better place. I can’t say that more sincerely. Take a look at this link and tell me if this reminds you of anyone the first couple paragraphs at least...The color purple from a personality standpoint. Is this the Sha we all know and appreciate or what!! http://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-purple.html
