  1. I wonder if we will see another surge in all thanos related books after James Gunn announcement today which will probably lead to SDCC casting announcement of Thanos and that he is the "head of the snake"
  2. Its just amazing to me looking back, maybe folks were thinking "Wake the Dead" was a better read than TWD when you look at orders
  3. #233 on October 2003 list - Walking Dead #1 (orders 7,266) #206 on November 2003 list - Walking Dead #2 (orders 6,067) #196 on December 2003 list - Walking Dead #3 (orders 6,992) #154 on January 2004 list - Walking Dead #4 (orders 7,019) #185 on March 2004 list - Walking Dead #5 (orders 8,829) #179 on April 2004 list - Walking Dead #6 (orders 7,727) #157 on May 2004 list - Walking Dead #7 (orders 10,490) #159 on September 2004 list- Walking Dead #10 (orders 13,719) #139 on June 2005 list - Walking Dead #19 (orders 17,222) #131 on March 2006 list - Walking Dead #27 (orders 18,866) #97 on April 2008 list - Walking Dead #48 (orders 22,461) #116 on October 2008 list - Walking Dead #53 (orders 24,091)
  4. I used to be able to find a good resource for comic print runs (estimated orders through diamond) but just can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have estimated print runs for Walking dead key comics? I am sure it has been discussed on one of the 3000 pages or so but can't find. Thanks
  5. Dan bought a New Mutants Copper book off of me and paid quickly and had great communication. Thanks again! (thumbs u
  6. thought that was a great episode, yes this season was my least favortie, but I would rather take a slow season of TWD than most any other shows. Sure leaves us hanging though.
  7. has the tpb been released yet for this? looking at picking up some trades at megacon this weekend, and haven't read this one yet.
  8. Only people who say this wish they had newstands. There is clearly a difference
  9. only older price variants if its a key, otherwise NO. I collect / read books for content of the particular issue not because of a unique cover. I would rather have a key first appearance all day long versus a hard to find variant
  10. easily The Walking Dead after that I would say 1st and 2nd Thanos Sagas, after that the Superman Doomsday Death crossover arc
  11. Easily would be Thanos, then all other cosmic marvel characters 2nd
  12. Maybe just a factor percentage higher or lower note for books. Similar to how pence books have been historically dealt with. Pence sell for 60-70% US Newsstand sell for 110-125% of Direct. And pull out key book that sell for divergent percentages Etc? (thumbs u If there is a direct / newsstand of a book, I will only look for the newsstand version. Not sure if the hobby will ever separate but collectors like myself would trade a direct 9.8 for Newstand 9.8 ALL DAY LONG
  13. SO was MOS17 the first cameo? Is that why it is popular? Was very happy with my scores today at my LCS. He loaded up his 50+ longboxes for a 2 for $1.00 sale. Found one MOS18 and it was a 5th print
  14. watch out for astonishing tales 25. There were several to be had and now they are gone. All because he will be on shield, which I am personally excited for as Deathlok is one of my many favs
  15. I love debates like this, it's what makes the comic hobby so fun! Speaking of debates: What other ones are similar to this? I can't think of other marvel characters that had so many cameos (according to Cgc labels) ff66, 67, thor 163, 164, before 165. Who defines what an actual cameo is? I still am a firm believer that just because it's limited to one page doesn't mean it's a cameo. A lot can happen in 4-8 panels. Now if it's a single splash page on last page with mininmal dialogue, yeah that's a cameo. Hulk 180 vs 181 comparison. Does anyone have a list of other characters that there is or was a debate in true first appearance?
  16. WOW, your 9.6 is a better value. Anything pre- '81 9.6 is more bang for your buck
  17. I personally like Scott Lang as Ant-Man so I was hyped but I am more of a Bronze/copper person just because that is what I grew up with. I always associate Henry as yellowjacket.
  18. of course most of these "hot" books aren't available anywhere in high grade condition, all the dealers are hoarding them. I have had a WTB thread on and off for 6 months and just can't find some of these books anywhere (c-link, heritage, mycomicshop, feebay, etc.)
  19. I see Avengers 181 and MP 47 heating up real soon now.
  20. Taskmaster in Antman??? WHAT!? that would be sweetness, hadn't heard that one yet
  21. This. well, I wouldn't call it the best... hehe but it is good! potential marvel spoilers if you havent seen TDW!!!!:: Thanks for sharing, just gave me goose bumps reading this! As a marvel fan a dream come true if this really plays out like this in the big screen! possible various internet rumors that appear to be truthful are: the GotG galaxy movie looks to be Ronan trying to steal the gem from Collector without audience knowing, but Ronan fails then Thanos defeats Collector/GotG final battle. Gotg/Collector will escape barely, collector (he's good guy but slightly shady since he lost his wife and kids) will mention the Enclave and what he procured from them but neither Fantastic four or Enclave is cast. Warlock is not cast either. just easter egg of his birth (but no actor) in the cocoon. The Cocoon will sort of play out as a "Last Hope" for humanity and all sentient beings in the universe. Thor 2 film end credits easter egg: a cocoon like thingie in Collector's room is a dead give away. The camera even focuses on the cocoon for a long while! In the secret -script Ronan is Thanos son, and will be a major baddie turned good guy by the end of Avengers 3. Thanos son, you say? what? well Ronan is Thanos son in Ultimate universe and Marvel Studios is utilizing Ultimate storylines blended with the classic Silver age storylines! hence why you see all the copies of Fantastic four 67 and Thor 165 disappearing under the radar. folks with scripts sworn to secrecy are buying up these books! its not bubble penguins, they havent arrived yet for these books! We are probably going to get an epic cosmic perhaps earthbound battle of Warlock vs Thor on screen because the plot is already writing itself as Whedon envisioned. Warlock kidnaps Sif haha!! Both FF 67 and Thor 165 are equally important but I think whatever CGC says is the first "FULL" appearance will always win long term! those guys seem to know whats up!
  22. if thor 165 didn't come almost 2 years after ff67 it would be more difficult for me but because of that ff67 wins hands down this is also a discussion topic in the bronze forum
  23. Anyone want to sell their copy See my WTB thread
