  1. It's has a "rare first appearance of Harley's shadow cover cameo". Gonna bigger than 4x doomsday fists. Boom goes the dynamite!
  2. Finally updated my CAF. Feel free to take a look using the link in my signature. A few new highlights: Rahsan Ekedal Think Tank 1 page 9 Brain Hurtt Sixth gun 20 page 5. Two pieces due to Brian's re-design of the guns. Wes Craig Guardians of the galaxy 19 page 13 Thanks for looking (thumbs u Cheers!
  3. Marvel had the press conference weeks ago to announce the filming of all four shows begining filming in New York. The Alias show was called Codename: Jessica Jones, and all four shows (daredevil, iron fist, and Cage) are full 13 episode seasons, available on Netflix binge style, ending in a Defenders mini-series.
  4. He posted about the importance of "The Inker". In the industry, and says this is a cover for a "Robert Kirkman published image book", that Kirkman convinced Silvestri to do, and Todd offered to help ink it. He asked for Marc to pencil very loose so he, Todd, could flesh out the details.
  5. This was posted to Todd McFarlanes Facebook . Silvesteri pencils with Todds inks. Says manifest destiny 7 cover.
  6. Heard good things about this. I believe the first appearance of this series or characters from it appeared somewhere earlier. Originally published as Scatterbrain - 2006 http://comicbookdb.com/title.php?ID=8837
  7. With the movie being a completely different team (2008) and concept from the original, why would any of the original GOTG see any price increase?
  8. Steampunk variant, blah. THIS will be the batman 28 to own. http://m.ebay.com/itm/301109239321?nav=SEARCH Now I just have to find one
  9. Pgx is horrible with higher grade modern. They, excuse me, "he" being Daniel, who is pgx by himself, seem to give a dice roll to 9.8/9.6/9.4. I would expect much lower grade from Cgc, but I find Pgx 7 and 8's are WAY UNDER graded most of the time on copper/bronze/ silver. I have cracked open numerous Pgx 7/8 books that graded 8/9 from Cgc. Almost always a higher grade, sometimes upward of 1.5 grades higher. Just avoid Pgx unless you can hold it in person and look at the book yourself. He's just a guy who has had the cases produced, which I have to admit are good cases, then grades them out in his basement. There is no "grading facility", its just his house.
  10. I'm also very curious to see how Marvel Preview 4 (1st Starlord) does. Its Magazine size, so I wonder if something that silly will turn off some people? Its a rather interesting first appearance for a character that it looks like will be making a big jump into the mainstream consciousness. Keep an eye on marvel spotlight Starlord vol 2 #6. First marvel "comic book" Starlord. Strange, as this one is the same thing as hulk 271, being first comic appearance of starlord, but has yet to see much action like rocket raccoons first comic appearance...
  11. I think this is a common misconception. The team didn't really come together at AC #6. I have laid it out in more details here with actual screenshots. Basically, there were 2 teams in AC #6. Half of the GOTG is in one team (Starlord, Racoon and Groot, together with Mantis and Bug) while the rest is in the other (Gamora, Drax and Warlock). There was no team structure present at all in this issue. +1000000000 And here I thought I was the only one who actually read the books. Still don't understand where anyone is getting AC 6 as a first appearance if they actually read it. Starlords team was a team of criminals held captive by the Kree , also featuring Mr universe as well, forced by the kree on a suicide mission to destroy the towers. Note the blue uniforms, and read AC Starlord #1 for the first modern Groot and Rocket Raccoon meeting/team-up. The only thing even note worthy in AC 6 is a full page advertisment for GOTG #1, but that is stretching any association of a first appearance. This isn't quite accurate and I do read the comics. In the Epilogue from AC #6 Warlock talks about a venture Starlord want's to speak with him about. These panels show the team members who will be in the 2008 GOTG while Warlock discusses the members. For example the panel where Rocket is restoring Groot. This epilogue leads directly into the splash/advertisement for next month's GOTG #1. If the last page was simply an advert for the GOTG team the I would agree that the regular series issue 1 is the first appearance. Instead we get the evolution of the team to come laid out on one page. The epilogue to Conquest from AC #6 actually serves as a prologue for the formation of this venture of Starlord's- the new GOTG. So you agree, not first appearance. With that logic, just another vague hint at best, of what's to come. No. I said the panels that show the team formation lead directly into that splash of the new team. If that splash was just an advertisement and the epilogue had nothing to do with the 2008 GOTG then I would agree with you. The combination of those panels, Warlock's comments and an actual splash of the team = first appearance. The market seems split on this, both comics sell well at this point and a lot of sellers claim first appearance in listing titles for both. Personally I like the second print for issue 1, it's harder to find than both of these. +1000000

  14. Very happy with it at that price. Almost forgot about it, caught it with about 20 seconds left
  15. Great pickup! IT was in the DH presents last month. Which means Sharlene did the colors, which is really cool. Husband and wifey tag team page
  16. last sale 9.4 100 9.6 173 9.8 390 Seems to to be very hard to find in HG and imo flying under the radar at that price. I saw about 6 copies at WW Portland, all vf or worse, all asking about 50. saw one vf+/nm- spine problems for 100. I find this book to be the marvel premiere 7 / hulk 271 of psylocke. 1st appearnces are in Captain Britain, but this first main marvel universe appearance gets all the love. Cheers!
  17. I'll be there on Saturday, hope they have some left after the Friday evening opening.
  18. Question 1 - This crazy rare book was supposed to be packaged with an x-men board game, but ended up making it into the packages, and then offered as a mail-away from the game makers, right? Question 2 - you guys consider this book as a "second print", or a rare reprint/giveaway like the comics they pack with marvel legends figures and such? I would catagorize a 2nd print would have to be for sale to the public, from the distributer,at shops, not reproduced for a toy or game. Question 3 Are second prints all considered "reprints", or does some amount of time have to pass from issue date to be classified a "reprint" , instead of 2nd print, by the collecting public? (I know, apples and oranges, just curious) Cheers !
  19. So what's stopping you? Here, I'll go... One of the rarest Marvel 2nd prints that exists: Not the SMF, just the regular ol' 2nd print. Marvel rarely did second prints unless they could justify decent print runs, even if the first print sold out, whereas DC liked to suck every last dime they could, and went back to press when they thought there was any demand at all...hence, books like Supergirl #1 3rd, with a couple thousand copies estimated to exist. Therefore, the vast majority of Marvel's second printings up to about 1996 are very common. Except this one and #64 2nd print. it looks like they made 2nd prints for every single issue 2 - 63 of gi joe.. From mycomicshop listing: GI Joe (1982 Marvel) #63 Published September 1987 by Marvel. Mike Zeck cover. All 2nd or 3rd printings have a 2nd 3rd printing notice on inside at bottom of indicia on first/splash page. 2nd printings were done for most issues from #2 to #63. Cover price $1.00. now we need a new thread about "Rarest 3RD printing of a copper age book...."
  20. Cool item, but a manufacture error is not a second printing. I do like your post question though, what are the rarest 2nd prints..?...
  21. After $55, the bids get sketchy... Yea, I did notice that and thought the same. There's another seller their copy is at $56 with 3hrs left and looks legit. Also another at $53 with a day +left. So looks that it is at least gonna be fetching in the $50s. For how long who knows though.... Hope so, sold one for 60 today
  22. Loved #3 as well! My only complaint would be its so good, it reads to quick! Just like saga, I want more now! Hard to wait between issues....
