I could of just froze the money by putting a paypal claim, but didn't want to because I really enjoy theses boards and the people I interact with and hoped things when brought into the light could be resolved. It shouldn't matter if you knew me or not, I had 1 post or 10,0000, or the fact that reputable boardies have stuck up for me. I was easy to work with about about making amends. From this I would still like to keep the 2 decent copies as I would like them for an upcoming sketch opp. But the main thing, is an apology and to remove the slur that I switched them. Reputation is everything in our hobby and I can't think of anything worse to be accused of, because otherwise how will any seller trust you?

I dispute the fact that I didn't tell him I wanted NM books. In his 4th sentence down he says I didn't ask. Proof, screen shot of our PM.

1) the books where not loose, each comic was placed between two boards, individually bagged. I personally don't think they where damaged in transit. I also don't think Mr highgrade was out to con me, I just believe he missed it, didn't inspect them closely. Bcos they are white covers they don't show the creases when bagged, maybe poor lighting aswell. 2) I would like to see him put his side forward aswell so I will refrain for commenting until then, unless I think it's right to. 3) to those who have publicly backed my character, and to those who privately pm'd me

This could boil down to a my word versus his word situation and I don't know how we could assess blame. Your complaint sounds very reasonable and believable. I'm convinced that those are accurate images of the books you received and they aren't as advertised. Is there any chance they could have been damaged in shipping? The mailer looks fine. Could something have crushed it, maybe, no indication though. I offered him that explaination as opt out. If I bought this from Amazon, metropolis, bob storm what would they do? Offer a refund, keep the customer happy. Standard return policy, I didn't think it needed spelling out before the deal was done, lesson learned. If it was a "switch", really for $17 copies. I was not even going to bring to probation thread because I didn't want to cast any shadow on my name/rep. But in our PM he was antagonistic and that is why I brought here.

No. Nothing discussed like that. I made the point that I was looking only for highgrade copies. I know no one can guarantee a 9.8 but those are big defects. The crux is he is adamant that I switched them. No sense in that. I think he thinks his 5000 posts and roe will crush me on here. But it's a B&W situation. If I have to bring in references I can.

I would like to report mr_highgrade. For the first time I've had a deal go bad. I have found him rude and unprofessional. I submit the facts only and leave it to fellow boardies to judge the outcome. If anybody disputes what I have said I have screenshots of my private PM with him, but do not know the etiquette for posting them. Mr highgrade responded to my WTB Thread for DD blank covers. 1/25/16 He said he had 11, I offered $100 plus p&p. He declined and said he had a deal pending for $200 3/5/16 he pm'd me asking if I'm still looking. I said I'm only interested in high grade comics, potential 9.8's. He ASSURED ME THEY WHERE 9.8 or BETTER. We agreed 5 for $17 plus p&p to UK. I paypal $107.50 to him on 3/10/16 17/3/16 the comics arrived. They where not high grade. I sent the following images. 3 out of the 5 where heavily creased. The 2 could probably get a 9.6 IMO. His explanation was that I must of got them "MIXED UP WITH MY OWN COPIES" those are not his. I try to be fair and say if you didn't send them like that, then they must have got damaged in the post, even though there is no visible damage to the mailer. After trying to be reasonable and offering the option to either offer me a full refund plus my return postage if I sent them back or refund me just for the 3. I then get the I've been collecting highgrade comics since the 70's hand picking every issue etc. he's well known etc. He eventually calls me a liar claiming I swapped him NM copies for mine. . Not looking at the sense of me switching 3 comics at $17 plus my international shipping costs. That is where we are at. I am simply a customer trying to return comics I'm not happy with. If there are any questions I will try and answer, but please be aware of the time difference and work hours. Thanks.

I picked up the planetary omnibus and loved it and got the authority TPB Ellis. What is the right reading order for the run, starting with Ellis's work. Stormwatch first? Then where do I end? Thanks.

Changed my office space around. Displaying my favourite and yellow label covers. The comics on the wall get changed nearly every week, so many favourites but not enough wall space! And finally organised the big pile of scattered boxes
