  1. So much for sniping this one......... https://www.pedigreecomics.com/auction-detail.php?issue_id=52678
  2. Joey told me years ago that buying 2 was a smart gamble. I know, hindsight is 20/20, but the book has even outperformed his original growth estimate.
  3. $14,500 was the price on the 4.5
  4. That is a great price. It won't last much longer. (thumbs u
  5. I just traded/sold my under copy 4.0, but my 6.0 isn't going anywhere, unless I upgrade it.
  6. Here he is. Does anyone else think the Star Destroyer Commander looks like Steve Carell on the card art? Also, and something that has always bugged me, why the big helmet when you work inside a space station? Do you expect things to fall on your head? OMG! How'd I miss THAT It's official, "The Steve Carell Cover" Jerome Great, now I can not un-see that resemblance.
  7. Instagram, FB, G+. I'm so out of the loop outside of here. How are those monitored to know without a shadow of doubt that the "winner" is not just a friend of the individual holding the raffle and not later sold and profits split or something? In no way am I thinking you would do such a thing. Just wondering if it is all on the up and up from other auction holders. I'm out of the loop too We are fine right here........but I would have to say I was kind of bummed hearing all the groups on FB. If I didn't need to make an account I would check out the WD groups. I don't even go on the official WD web page....Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out/ Edit: everyone here is a valuable resource and my collection would be nothing if I had not found this site...So many, many, many old-timers helped me, that were here way before me. To all that have helped with out you I would have nothing, except more money I feel the exact same as James. Especially the "more money" comment.
  8. The lower left is awesome. All of the characters look like they were meant to be there.
  9. Quite a few upcoming in auctions. Maybe soon....
  10. It's already happening. Seems like a wasted effort to me. I'm waiting a bit before selling any. It is too soon.
  11. I lucked out I guess. Out of 31 copies I ordered, 3 had the same flaw, and the rest were perfect. The 3 had a slight crease about 3/4" of the way up on the spine that went diagonal to the bottom of the cover like someone grabbed the corner when pulling it from a stack and it bent. My packaging was nice. Cardboard sandwich in bubble wrap slip cases, that were protected on the sides, top, and bottom in the oversize box.
  12. With my purchase of an 8.5 issue 66 yesterday from Greg Reece, I now have a full run of 1-104 graded + raw. My 103 is the last book that I need to send in, and I am still waiting on 3 to come back to me that have been marked as graded for over 3 weeks.
  13. Mine just shipped today. Nothing like a few horror stories to make the wait even worse.
  14. Shhhhh!!! It was supposed to be a secret.
  15. That is a great show, but don't forget about Rick and Morty. It has great ratings, a cult like following, and it is beginning to catch on in the mainstream.
  16. You get breaks at work? On a serious note, great points. (thumbs u
  17. At just hair under its all time high in 2010 of $4500, this book is surging back with a $4200 finish last night. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DSHOWCASE%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_1070306&id=1070306
  18. Good move. With Rip Hunter getting TV screen time, Booster is bound to be on deck.
  19. Where is the best deal to buy 1000 on the net?
  20. By the time they ship you think the sellers will be getting around $100 for NM, or more?
