  1. I have no dog in this fight bc I don't own the book, but I gotta say that, Jay, you're calling shills on books--from what I have noticed--isn't exactly done with integrity or objective view of facts. You have a hard on for books you hate and then you go after them. I don't know why you're not calling shills on Hulk 1s which have been plagued recently by fake sales and constant relists. Yet you go on the Hulk 1 club thread pumping Hulk 1 and ST110 constantly. But you sure are going hard after BA12. Wonder if it's bc you own a Hulk 1--and not a BA12. Hard to say you have integrity when you do that. And who sets a reserve on a shilled auction? That's just silly. The whole point of a shill is to make sure it sells above the shill price (already a reserve). My understanding of reserve ebay auctions is you pay a fee even if the book doesn't sell. Why pay extra listing fees a book that won't sell unless you the reserve price is real. I can see low feedback bidders going after BA12 bc at least some will be non-comic ppl who love the character and want a high graded copy but don't use ebay much or buy comics normally.
  2. I love this book, but my man, you are high if you think a 7.5 will be a 10k book by the end of next year. That's higher than what TOS39s go for now in that grade.
  3. Batman 59 is the way to go. If you can get a copy.
  4. Have any of you guys either bought from or sold to Sleeping Giant Collectibles? I saw their booth at NYCC this year but for whatever reason never stopped by. Are they reliable/trustworthy? I believe that with comics, they only deal with CGC graded stuff. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Yeah, I dunno about this one. It looks like it was a BIN, and it seems a bit fishy to me. I did want to let you guys know about it though. I initially thought it was suspect as well--until I saw that the same guy who bought my Avengers 55 also picked up that Circle 8 copy. So it's a legit sale.
  6. Wow, 6.0 now at $2300 with one day left in the Comiclink auction. Seems new gpa highs are being reached every couple of months...
  7. Both nice books! Personally, I'd go with ST110 as the prices seem to be running away fast. ST110 is also much, much harder to find in grade as I'm sure you already know. FF48 is a favorite of mine but it's not a hard book to find, even in higher grade. You can find an FF48 just about any day of the week and I don't see prices moving up much over the next year or two. Good luck! (thumbs u
  8. Still a great title! Nothing changes that.
  9. Sorry, no offense intended. What I mean is it is waaaaay too early to say the Thought Bubble is a bad buy. The book is four issues in. The first trade hasn't even been released. The title is just beginning to gain traction and a following. If peeps looked at the Saga RRP cgc 9.8 dip 33% in just a few days from a high of $750 and said the book had to unloaded ASAP, they'd be losing a lot of money by not being patient. In fact the Saga RRP sold at a low of around $250 in summer 2012. Whoever bought that got the last laugh. I'm not saying Nowhere Men is in Saga territory--yet. But it's got enough talent and potential to get there. The Thought Bubble is a hold if you have one. And a buy if you can get it.
  10. Why is this a disaster? Saga RRP cgc 9.8 went thru a similar dip in price from a high of $750 on June 15, 2012 to a $400 sale 3 days later. Today, it's an $800 to $900 book. It's ppl like you who act like the sky is falling that keep prices low. This book has major upside because like other posters said, this title will be here to stay. My money is on this book being a major player in the years ahead. Look at where th book is headed, not just where it is now.
  11. +1. Yes, def agree! The delay to issue 5 kills some momentum. And alot of ppl still don't know about this book! A 9.8 is tough to get. Bought 10 raw copies--only ONE came back 9.8!! I'm on the prowl for slabbed 9.8s because their so cheap now. I think once the TPB hits stands, this title will really take off and will make the Thought Bubble highly sought after.
  12. Why is the Thought Bubble so cheap right now? It was going for $700 in 9.8 just a couple months ago. Now it is around $400. Thinking it's a great buy with tons of room to grow if you can get a copy. Thoughts on the Thought Bubble? Just saw a double sig 9.8 go for around $450. What a steal!
