  1. I stumbled upon a Tales of Suspense 1 in gd+ with edge tanning, some back cover soiling, a few creases and some overall wear. The book isn't looking to bad and eye appear is pretty good. I'm asking myself if I should go for it. I'm not of sure of the value of such a copy in today's market. It's a book that does not show up a lot and pre-hero books have certainly exploded lately. Most of the GPA data is a little old except for a 1.8 that sold for $235 in March 2014 (and a 1.5 that sold for $260 in October 2013). I would like some input from my fellow Atlas/ pre-hero collectors. Cheers! (thumbs u
  2. My second recent addition to my Infantino collection.
  3. This is stunning copy of a book that I am desperately looking for. Congrats on this great addition to your collection. Thanks, bro......but now it's making me want a similar copy of JIUW 15 ....... and while Atlas still has some of the cheaper PCH Wolvertons.... they're still a chunk. I consider myself very fortunate to have gotten this one.....I couldn't believe it lasted all night and was still available..... luckily, the other "usual suspects" already had copies..... GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u I missed this one, but it seems that the book found a great home. I have a friend who upgraded a Wolverton Atlas book recently and will probably obtain his undercopy in the next few months (when he recovers it, since it is "lost" somewhere. I will see him tomorrow and learn which book it is.
  4. Hector recently bought a few books from me and made lightning fast payment.. (thumbs u
  5. Come by the store and bring the book and I'll give you a discount on the Wolverton artist edition.
  6. This is stunning copy of a book that I am desperately looking for. Congrats on this great addition to your collection.
  7. I like this one and don't think I've ever seen it before. The nice clear blue sky makes this look un-Atlas like. Really stands out from the normal Atlas war book. You're right about this. War Adventures 11 features a similar sky color, but maybe not as blue.
  8. Here's another cool war book, this one sports a nice Severin cover.
  9. What an amazing group of books! The TTA 32 is outstanding!
  10. I can't think of many "gory" Atlas covers either. Astonishing #30 is one of my favorites though. I love this cover. Great copy of a tough book!
  11. Nice! You didn't tell me that you had this. Bring the book the next time you come by.
  12. What a great group of books. It goes without saying that Bill Everett was one of the best and the cover to Menace 2 clearly illustrates this. But I am particularly fond of the cover to Mystic 28 by Joe Maneely!
  13. I like that cover! And what a great grade. (thumbs u ..... the splash (IMHO...) is even better. Some lucky soul ended up with the original art to it at a Heritage Auction (I think) several years ago. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Infantino Flash splash pages but they are sadly out of my league. I still hope to score a nice panel page one day though.
  14. I just had to purchase a couple of books when I realized that I did not add any new Flash to my collection for over a year. Here's the first one.
