  1. Picked up 2 copies of the Image One Shot from 2012 for $8.50 each
  2. After a couple of weeks doing research I decided to BIN on a refurbished HP 8300 for $117 shipped. The seller has 20 more available in case anyone else is looking! http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Professional-Desktop-Color-Scanner-Scanjet-8300-USB-Film-Adapter-TMA-/310992351180?pt=US_Scanners&hash=item486896afcc When I receive it I'll install HPs Windows 7 Drivers and/or VueScan and give it a go! I'm also going to try and use that "Extreme Mode" I read about here. Any tips are appreciated in regards to software!
  3. I believe some 8.5 x 11.7 scanners advertise 8.5 x 14 via the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) ((The tray thing on top)). So the scanning plate itself is 11.7 long, but you could put a legal size document through the feeder. So that's cool if you are a paralegal, but it sucks if you want to scan slabs.
  4. I might consider trading my RQ 1A and 1B 9.8s for a humdrum WD 1.
  5. Please see my app. for membership below!
  6. Sold my Forbidden Planet Signature Series 9.8 and added some capital to pull down: He's no Spawn, Maxx, Pitt, or Shadowhawk, but he can sit in the back of the short box...
  7. Let me be the first to say now that MD LBCC 9.8s aren't worth the plastic they're slabbed in, I'm willing to bail out owners for $20/piece. You're welcome.
  8. Does anyone know where I can order a copy of the McFarlane Silvestri Variant of Issue #7? Much Apprec!
  9. I tried for a year and couldn't get one. At one time I was offering between 500-600 on the WTB forum all cash, and to individuals up to 700-800 slabs plus cash bundles. At this point I ended up buying other books like Spawn #1 B&W 9.8 and Spider Man #1 Platinum 9.8. I value those two books more than the Maxx Ashcan and The Maxx is my favorite. I've given up for now. The people who have them value them more than I do.
  10. Don't be an individual_without_enough_empathy spreads, I meant grails. I offered a few other people probably half a dozen 9.8s and cash in case they were interested in anything. For example thief of thieves 1 in cgc ss 9.8. I was offering 9.8s and cash.
  11. Back from WonderCon Anaheim & CGC!
  12. I should have bought grails #1 black last year. Biggest bonehead move yet!
  13. Dan Brown's Inferno, but I'm not enjoying it as much as his previous books. More of the same, struggling to keep my attention.
  14. I will say I like Kieth, Valentino, Silvestri, and McFarlane > Liefeld.
  15. I love these because I loved them when I was 9-10 years old. I paid $75 for the Youngblood and $50 for the Prophet.
  16. Pulled down a Spidey Platinum from highgradecomics.com! Thanks for the referral Spidey-on-tilt!
  17. Sent 3 Blue Label 9.8 Dragon books to ECCC and received 3 Yellow Label 9.8s from CGC today
  18. 1. I second greggy; low grade slabs are poopie 2. I keep an eye peeled for graded TMNT first and second prints (I am 31) 3. I don't read marvel, and spidey is my least favorite hero TUTTLES
  19. Also, a #2 Yellow is 3.33 times more rare than a number one. In that case I guess it's about right! I was thinking $300ish for a #1 yellow in nice condition. I know the Yellow print runs were all 500, but I didn't know the #2s were more scarce.
  20. Crispin and I were talking about the Yellows popping up on the Bay. Yellow #1 (in the UK) and Yellow #2 graded 9.4 (overpriced x 3) It's nice to see them pop up though!
