  1. My LCS had a stack of Darth Vader #3 on the shelf and I was able to grab the 1:25 Variant for $12, too.

    Good investment. Now flip it.

btw.... I actually like the regular cover-art better than the variant. Can't see squat on the variant.

    (shrug)

lol Just did! And I agree. The Granov regular cover definitely tops the variant.

I liked the reg cover too. Only had one for my pull. LCS shipping more first prints for the seven people short.

  2.

Maybe if the universes are combined after Secret Wars the story will get better. I wasn't interested in reading the second issue after this one. It just didn't do enough with the character. It was only one comic but I've seen many first issues do a lot more. I don't want to have to read 4 or 6 issues to see if the story will get better.

    I wouldn't mind a simpler Marvel Universe.

  3. From the Marvel Database:

    Gwen Stacy

Gwendolyne Stacy (Earth-616) 0001 Fan Art

    Gallery

    Real Name Gwendolyne Stacy [1]

    Current Alias Gwen Stacy

Aliases Gwendolyn Stacy, Gwen Stacey (alternate spellings), Gwendy

    Relatives Helen Stacy (mother; deceased),

    George Stacy (father; deceased),

    Arthur Stacy (uncle),

I don't rem Gwen's mother ever being discussed.

  4. Another update. It seems like Thirdeye comics want's to contact me via phone. why not quite sure. I told them that it wasn't necessary, and if i didn't see any updated shipping info by tomorrow afternoon I'd have to cancel the order and request a refund.

Has anyone else received any updated shipping info from thirdeye comics about their phantom variants they had presales on via ebay? these guys apparently can't live up to what their listing said about items will ship out the 25th....

I got this from thirdeye today

    Hello!

We know that many of you are excited to receive these, so we wanted to update you on ship status for SPIDER-GWEN.

All items are accounted for and fulfilled.

We began packing and processing all items when the items were physically in hand Tuesday evening.

We have made our way through nearly all of the color Phantoms as of Thursday AM, finishing those off and are working on the Black and White Phantoms as we speak.

We have a dedicated team on this, and all packages should be in the mail by end of day today.

Your tracking # is attached to the purchase information, and should reflect movement within 24-48 hours of the items hitting the truck.

If you made separate transactions, those shipped separate from one another

If you have not seen your tracking show progress by Monday or Tuesday of next week, please get in touch.

We appreciate your patience -- we had several hundred of these items to process, and as such, are working as quickly as we can to get them to you.

    Thank you

  5. Back from shopping..

Major shortages on all copies.. got 2 ankas 2 blanks and 2 reg.. passed on Young

Hughes was going for 200.00 - pass

midtown limits 1 copy per.. I think maybe because of their signing tomorrw

also, Robbi's in portland tonight at TFAW's signing and Latour's in Midtown tomorrow as mentioned

    More to follow

I only got the regular for normal price and Young for $10. The regular was sold out. The young was two left. The one Anka was presold at $25. No hughes. I did put in preorders for other printings.

  6. Here's the thing guys. Sony took two shots at Petey Parker. One with Toby McGuire and one with Andrew Garfield. They tried the awkward, schmucky Spidey and the too cool for school Spidey. Neither was very effective. Plus they burned through a bunch of villains and killed off the Green Goblin in the first movie. They made quite a few tactical mistakes.

Miles makes sense and I'm not convinced they use him in the current storylines past CW. They could use him to run through the gambit of villains that made ASM 1-20 such great reads in the first place. I'm talking Scorpion, Kraven, Mysterious, Vulture; etc.

Miles could work, if for no other reason than Sony did Peter Parker no favors. I would not write off the UF 4 for around $20.

Well written. I did like Toby in Spidey #1. Rest were not good.

Miles is a good start. Get Will Smith's kid to play him.

  7. So one movie critic makes an otherwise unsubstantiated claim, and all hell breaks loose?

I personally think they're going to go a different direction

The recent spidey is done. The movies are sad compared to the hits in 2014. Maybe a well written Miles would be a breath of fresh air.
