  1. you just want the price held down! lol

No I just want it to be called what it is, a promotional piece, nothing else. These are digital images from what Adlard has drawn sketches for advertisement for their stories. They have not been "published" as of yet. If they do get published in the WD magazine or anything else, then we can call them "published."

    +1 - not published.

I am surprised by the fact that they will be listed on Splash Page as "make offer". I guess just hoping for someone to be a bit overzealous...?

That'd be my guess so I'm not surprised they'll be listed as "make offer."

I was surprised when this method creeped into non-WD offerings.

  2. I don't know how you guys can resist the temptation with the books sitting right there!

I feel like I'd experience a little :ohnoez: and have to read them. And there's such a sense of excitement and anticipation built in with reading monthly. I'm so envious of the people that got to enjoy YTLM and the Bendis' DD Run as they were released monthly. :cloud9:

I'm a TPB fella now but YTLM and the Bendis/Maleev DD run were monthly EVENTS for me.

  3. Did my regular perusal of OA sites and noticed that too. Is this a good book? Are those prices justified?

Citizenvain -- it's not a book for everyone, but if you've got an edgy dark "adult swim" sense of humor, it just might be the book for you... Let me know what you think.

    Shall do (thumbs u

  4. I love Chew. It’s got an original premise, great art and a solid story.

Also love the ongoing Branget/Linguini vs Beige handicap match.

Feel free to direct me to any other threads where they’ve squared off.

Preferably the first one as I love a great origin story.

  5. If I’m not mistaken, Ryan Ottley has been on Invincible nearly as long and maintains a near monthly schedule with Cory Walker providing the occasional fill-in.

He produces consistently great art and it likely reflects the effort he puts in.

I am not bashing Mr. Adlard as he’s a great artist capable of great work. Look to his early WD work and omnibus covers for evidence of that.

It just seems as if he’s resting on his laurels somewhat.
