  1. You make it sound like ALL of his movies have explosions. I made a comprehensive list below of all of the movies without one. 1)
  2. I’m not for sure I understand everything written here but I get the gist. I never said that he was a nice guy to everyone, just that I agree with his statement that AI doesn’t create, it imitates (so far). I stand by my statement that he is one of the hardest working directors I have ever seen. He is always looking for a unique angle or technique and never slows down or stops moving. Does that make him the best? No, of course not. Bayhem is a name used for a reason.
  3. Michael Bay is one of the hardest working people on a set. He sums it up perfectly.
  4. Sorry you are still out of work. It is estimated that it has cost the CA economy in excess of 6.5 billion dollars. It trickles down and affects people and businesses that most would not even think about.
  5. I still stand by this AI portion. You use someone's likeness and/or voice, they should get paid and have a say on how it is used.
  6. It's complicated. In short, no, major productions with a few exceptions granted by SAG would be prohibited. That would mean you have no star power and no experienced crew. In theory you could make the movies outside the country but places like Canada and UK will usually support the agreements of SAG since they have tied in roles and interests. I guess you could go make a movie in Korea, but again, you would have no stars and it is doubtful that you would get a return on your investment. If an actor violates the SAG strike, they could be fined, or kicked out of the union. They would very likely be turned down for roles in the future. In the long run that would be far worse for them than the temporary money they may make.
  7. Not releasing the video is not really a sign of guilt to me. As others have said, most companies will not hand over a video without a police or attorney legal request. I have shipped an item packaged like this before for either the gift exchange or raffle. The bottom layer looked so much like the bottom packaging layer that I wrote a note that said, “open this” so they wouldn’t miss it. The magazine may be gone forever but I think they will make an effort to make it right if the video shows this possibility. It may even start a new unpacking policy.
  8. Thank you for posting this. These stealing videos have been horrible. There was some fat in my town on video telling his kid to take the whole bowl and then told him to run. Sad that a parent would teach their kid that. Props to the parents in this video.
  9. I seriously doubt theft for this item as well. I have a bad feeling they thought the magazine was bottom of the box packaging. Maybe it will still turn up though. They have found items seemingly lost before.
  10. I think the only person who may be able to help you here is @CGC Mike
  11. This is supposed to be a comic book but I am not familiar with it, if it’s even real.
  12. I know, it’s a Boxster. Seemed appropriate for a Hippie with girl’s hair!
  13. I’m guessing the one with the fried egg lights is your favorite.
  14. The Water Cooler is your kryptonite!
  15. I will let her know about your post so she can respond in the thread or by pm if she chooses but I would rather not put her on the spot by tagging her.
  16. Congrats on the two projects. Well done! Are they going to keep you on board while filming as an Executive Producer / writer to give input?
  17. I hope not. I want to see what they filmed in It’s original glory. I want to see exactly what they thought would be a good idea to make money for a modern day Snow White.
  18. I wonder if they think people will forget or they want to reshoot some super scenes and pretend they never happened and can’t right now?
  19. One of the nice things is that you get paid your rate (daily, weekly, film, etc. ) even if you are done after an hour or two that day. If it turns into a really long day like 16 hours plus you get “Golden Time” which is a full days pay for every hour over.
  20. Exactly. Using RobAnybody's example, that red shirt and barista actually get paid very well for that one day of work. They also get free food, a pay bonus if they get lunch late, a pay bonus if it rains on them, a pay bonus for changing clothes, etc.
