  1. No, I heard they have a new fee where you actually have to pay them to recycle it. Kind of like getting rid of an old bald tire or dirty oil. Except those still have some value.
  2. I thought it was Daredevil #1? Only if you are stuck on an island and need a book to start a fire.
  3. The precedence has been set. What other things were you fooled on? Does his love for Daredevil count? Anyone who likes Daredevil needs an evaluation.
  4. This guy is something else. I guess he meant he would not post under Symbiotic not under a different name. How long new until sales thread?
  5. Ah, yes, now I remember him from the cosignment thread. How could everyone not jump all over that deal? I certainly hope this is not one of those cases I remember from a year ago where a guy was trying to flip books he had not even bought yet by basically advertising other peoples sales threads (without them knowing) with a price increase. Kind of like a pre-flip sale.
  6. Why did the X-men seller say he would ask "him" to send better pics? Is it not even his book? Wow, so symbi said he would not sell here for a while but I guess he does not mind using the boards to promote his stuff.
  7. I remember that sales thread by Symbi that was linked. I was online right when several of those books were posted and there were 3 or 4 I really wanted but refused to because it was him. I know that several of the people in that thread that claimed items must know his history but the power of the flip is just too appealing. It was very disappointing.
  8. If it was a one time mistake I would say a refund was sufficient though an extra restitution would be nice. However with his history I wish he could be banned from selling here at all. I give it two weeks on the high end before a new sales thread pops up.
  9. It amazes me how many people actually buy from that guy.
  10. You'll never find any comic collectors in a desolate place like LA I know, right?
  11. This is why I wish I had comic collector friends around me. I have cool stuff for no one to ever see except myself,
  12. I had been looking for an Amazing Spiderman 194 9.4-9.6 signed by Stan Lee in Silver for a while but have not seen any in my price range or with the signature placement and color I wanted. As luck would have it, one came up for sale on the boards that was signed by Lee but also by Wolfman in silver with great signature placement, but I missed it to Darkowl by a few hours. I typed him on the off chance he would be willing to sell it for a little profit on his end. Not only did he offer to sell it to me because he knows I am a Black Cat fan, but he gave it to me at cost. I thought that was a really cool gesture and thought I would share it with you guys. A great seller who packages very well! Thanks Darkowl
  13. Seller responded today and shipment has arrived. I withdrawal my nomination for the probation thread. Thanks.
  14. I was actually thinking that last night. That the Friday thread was right on track but too late for the East Coasters to see it.
  15. Separate PM sent today so this will be the beginning of the 72 hours. I agree with ombit. Condition and packaging was excellent. The lack of communication is my biggest gripe. I could understand if I was a needy buyer but my PM's were weeks apart and very friendly.
  16. I have never had to do this before but I feel I have no choice but to put up Jaster-Mareel for the Probation List. The reason I hesitated is because it is over books valued at less than 20 cents a piece but I feel it is necessary because of principal and because it happened to someone else as well in the same thread. That person is missing books and not having PM's returned after being read as well. Jaster-Mareel had a Pre-Sci Fi Expo Thread that featured dollar books or groups of books at cheap prices. I bought a lot of books on the thread that totaled 197 books at a cost of $148. As you can tell by the thread link, I went to the trouble of making it easier for the seller by listing everything I purchased and the price. Sales Thread On 02/02/14 10:07 PM I received a pm with the total. Within 15 minutes, full payment was sent via PayPal. On 02/21/14 at 4:49 PM, I sent a pm asking about the status of the books. I was told he was out of town and would have his girlfriend ship it out. On 03/06/14 at 6:50 PM, I sent a pm asking about the status and/or tracking number. I was told that it went out later than expected. No sorry, no excuses, but whatever, at least it was on the way. On 03/11/14 at 5:51 PM, I received a message saying to let him know what issues of Stormwatch were missing because he grabbed the wrong stack and would send them right out to me. That did not bother me because with that big of a lot, mistakes happen. On 03/12/14 at 06:00 PM, I received the package and typed him the numbers of the 14 issues that were missing and asked if that matched his records. PM read, never received a response. On 04/09/14 05:20 AM, I sent a pm asking if he was going to send the missing books. PM read, and I still have not received the books or a response. I am very easy to deal with and very patient as long as there is communication. Since there is a severe lack of communication and missing books, I am submitting him to the probation list.
  17. I would imagine we would have the same problem as in the PIF thread with the 50 post requirement. If someone has bad intentions they will meet that minimum post count within a day or two if needed.
  18. Good to hear!! Now I will go kick myself since I saw that thread right after you posted it for sale,
  19. No wonder the shop closed if he doesn't know how to look up comics to see their current value. Rather convenient though that he has no idea what books are hot anymore or what they are worth but posts a Preacher # 1. I guess he was lucky that he just happened to grab one out of his 10,000 comics.
  20. I hope that was a summation and not a direct quote.
  21. Kav, Since there is not way I can catch up with this thread, would you mind posting the quote for what GCG's response was? Thanks
  22. I could see Kav theoretically passing 4,000 posts in this thread alone.
  23. Yeah, I would not want my comics marked in any way. Just doesnt seem right.
