  1. To be fair, this could probably be said about a few other people who never get brought up in this thread. I am sure you are correct. The only reason I even mention it, is because I do not want the guys who bought the items without knowing the history to worry they just got scammed and will never get their books.
  2. I purchased from Symbiote last August when I knew nothing about him. On a personal level I will not purchase from him again because I do not agree with some of his methods or comments. I will say however that he did ship my Ultimate Spider-Man 1 quickly and well packaged so I would imagine you guys will get your books. I don't think he scams in that way or anything.
  3. Ahhhh.... I see, thanks for the info. However, wouldn't that mean you are going around humping things to see if others already humped it? Ummm....ewwww
  4. What is the endgame for these types of scams? I thought Paypal typically held on to the money on accounts that are newer so when you open a case they will never let him get his funds. If he has a long time account then I would assume he has his real name, address, linked accounts, etc so what does he hope to achieve?
  5. Wow! 1 cent! I wonder if the winning bidder is a boardie?
  6. If you are referring to the Ebay possible shilling incident, the answer is No. I think technicalIy speaking, I would have been the one that was actually offended and I am not going to nominate him. He apologized and fixed the bids that had been made to the auction so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.
  7. As a frequent buyer on these boards, I can say there are two things that will turn me off from buying something. The first are unusually high shipping costs and the second is when they make you pay paypal fees. There is one auction right now that says they prefer paypal but you have to add 4% (I thought it was normally 3%?) I can't get over having to pay the seller's paypal fees when selling on the boards is free in the first place. Plus, why would you charge me more for paying you immediately and providing you with seller protection? Funny thing is that if the seller just built the paypal fees into the asking price in the first place no one would notice.
  8. so a $20 slab listed would actually cost $55! Hopefully there is a discount for multiple slabs.
  9. If you reached out to him and he ignored you that is a problem. If it is an ongoing thread and he has not sent you one yet, I would just reach out to them. It is common on here for some sellers to create a pile for each customer until the thread is over or the buyer says that is all they want.
  10. I think it would look cool in this specific instance. The side of the brown base on MJ is a fairly large area that is just plain brown.
  11. Coi (or anyone else), how do you feel about getting your statues signed? I was thinking about getting the MJ one signed on the side of the brown base by J. Scott Campbell and Stan Lee. I would never sell it so I am not concerned about value just curious if it is considered a no no.
  12. I totally understand what you mean. He did type me and apologize for what happened today and asked for my advice on how to handle it. He followed my advice and tried to fix the situation so I will give him the benefit of the doubt since he is a fellow board member. Hopefully he continues to work on his social skills and board etiquette moving forward. For me the situation is closed pending any further incidents of the kind. However, I too will be proceeding with caution. Watch out you don't misplace your generosity. Agreed. Hopefully it did not sound as if I was defending him. I am not, at all. I just do not have any proof either way so not much else I can do.
  13. Thanks Jay....the refs were killing me but ultimately they had a chance to win it and blew it so no excuses. The worst part is that one of the interceptions was by Chancellor who went to school at my own Virginia Tech team.

  15. You are too late Slym. See what happens when you leave the house for once?
  16. I appreciate you coming here and speaking about what happened Hustruck. Obviously, there is no way for me to know a hundred percent what the truth is. I will however say that you did respond immediately to my message when I typed you and cancelled my bid as I requested.
  17. I do understand that last part that you said Jsilver. I have a habit of doing the same thing. The only difference is that I like to help people defend themselves.
  18. I would like to throw it out there to Hustruck that I have no problem with him personally and would welcome him to this thread to discuss it.
  19. You could always bury him with info received. (thumbs u I most likely will at some point today. Waiting to see how it plays out.
  20. Plus he has to pay for college. Of course, one could argue if you are selling books on ebay to pay for college you most likely should not be buying books here. I just hope Jking doesn't get hosed.
  21. The 2nd of the 3 possible shills have now cancelled their bidding on the stereo speakers. I feel like every time I post an inconsistency, it somehow disappears.
