I still don't see how the video in the first post is racist or anti gay. Just pointing out that shoehorning diversity into movies just because it's the progressive thing to do at the time contributed to Eternals sucking is not racist or anti gay. That's something you've cooked up in your mind.

Sorry I can't stomach the modern pablum that they call "star trek" today...the fact that they have to have a "Trek Universe" intro to the shows a la Marvel is so stupid. I did get a little warmth in my heart when the old crew was all sitting around the table together. You all are just too easily entertained.

I do find this WAY better than season 1 or 2, but I still feel it's just barely watchable. Jean Luc is just not the same character, I know age has much to do with it but even Shatner doesn't look or sound as old. Feels a little hokey and forced to me, although I do appreciate that they came up with a reason for Data/Lore/B4 to look old and fat now. I think as soon as I find out just who Vadic is I'll be satisfied enough to quit watching. Keep in mind this is coming from a rabid TNG fan who still watches it + DS9 and ENT on repeat constantly.

Ok, so I just watched the whole thing again just to make sure and I didn't hear anything that sounded like sour grapes over the ethnicities of those cast...can you treat me like a simpleton (easy I know lol) and point out what you see? Edit - I do hear a lot of the word "diversity" when he talks about Eternals and how Icarus is bad because he's a white guy...so there's that I guess?

I realize it won't fix everything or even very much but it is a step in the right direction, imo.

I'll give it a whirl, although I've been plenty satisfied with my extensively modded Skyrim SE build...I can do almost anything there and have it looking amazing (has saved me tons on new games, lol)! Hopefully Starfield gets a similarly passionate modding scene

I apparently just don't know what a "good movie" is anymore, lol. I went to see this with my mom yesterday and thought it was realllly strange...almost acid-trip like (and not in a good way). I also thought Megan and Top Gun were awful and I think these were pretty highly rated, no?
