  1. That's the one. You need to up your eBay game. I've been MIA for ages.
  2. Maybe. A full delete of that and what is up in personal and sales thread might be better IMO. Feel bad for the OP however not convinced they were on the up and up about everything. Full delete is a bad idea. Out of sight. Out of mind. People forget and this needs to be remembered and we need to be able to reference it. This is information the board needs to have....that includes the doubts and the changing stories. We're not safer with deleted threads. We've lost threads on some of the worst moments on the boards, items that we'd be wiser having around to remind us. Maybe you're right here. It's sad. A little investigation on google turns up some burnt bridges he had in the toy collecting/trading forums related to bad deals. Can anyone give insight into why the WC thread was closed? Dena probably thought that it would lead to a dark path due to Chip's history of being short fused and because that is his history. Hell, he even got mad when someone posted that they didn't think that Civil War was that great of a movie. If you've been here long enough, you've probably seen that side of him.

  4. nope. he'd see that you outbid him, and that the lot was now bid up to ___(whatever)___. He wouldnt/couldnt know that the amount was the top of your bid. Not entirely true. If he bid $44 then saw that the winning bidder was leading by 41¢ he knows what the top bid is and then has the option of outbidding the top bidder or walking away. I have done this as recently as this past weekend. I bid a certain amount. Turned out I pushed the winning bidder to his max and then I walked away to hit the BIN on the same item from another seller. The BIN was cheaper than what the top bidder was willing to pay apparently. This meant the top bidder in the auction paid more than what I did for the other BIN listing. (This was an action figure). I used to bid that that all the time when I first started on eBay.
  5. By invitation only...but you are on the list
  6. The best part was that Tom Cruise got killed.
  7. Hater I've sold worse keys I am still disgruntled about the Detective 359. Arrived safely to my contact in Chicago. You were too slow. I took time to check GPA and still beat you. Thank goodness it was a Saturday. You had to check GPA on that? Newb. I don't really deal with that grade range often. It did sound cheap though. I still won.

  10. I'll take that bet, scrub. Bring it. Oh, Chip, he's hustling you. Really. You'll lose. Somebody knows what I did in my third career after I sold Moondog's... Man, you shouldn't have fessed up, Gary. Hustle him. I have no clue what you guys are talking about. Was Gary a professional Golden Tee player? WTF is Golden Tee anyways? greggy needs to know. golden tee = golf arcade game - played with a trackball. very addicting - there is a networked version of the game that people can play for money now (online tournaments) - and there were ( probably still are) - local tournaments held in bars Gary - (post his comic shop days) - worked as marketing director for the company that designed the game. I do not know him personally - but looking over some of the news releases, I would say that Moondog knows the game pretty well - and was more than a little responsible for the popularity of the game and the contests that resulted from it. Thanks Does Google not work in Canada? Does google say why Gary is so good. I knew about the game, dorkface

  13. They were 1st prints. Wow - let me know if you need anymore ASM 361s in higher grade. I'll sell mine for $60 US and you can make a killing flipping them. Yeah. I passed on a group of near mint copies at $40 apiece like four days ago. Not sure who would be paying $100+ when they are readily available on eBay for half of that. Pretty weird. Cuz they are Canadians
  14. Yes, one of the first that we went to at the show. While I was looking at the wall books and DCs , Joey was working the boxes. It was part of an OO collection that he purchased a few weeks ago from the OO's son after the OO died. He bought like 8 boxes of books at that time and told the guy that if he waited a couple of days, he would buy the remaining 12 boxes for 8-12K. For whatever reason, the guy sold it to another local store for $3K the next day. There was a raw Hulk 181 and 182 in those boxes which sold for $3K by themselves by the other store. Very strange.
