  1. Damn @ss! Yeah, I'm talking to you! Shouldn't you be studying for your Human Sexuality test tomorrow? Or...did you just pop in a Vivid video?
  2. First you guys associate me with Rickdogg. Now Darth!?!? WTF, can't you guys associate me with some respectable people?

  4. Oh, I wish I was buying Spider-mans in the early 1990s except Fantastic Fours. Although I prefer the FF much better, financially I would have done much better and wouldn't have to touch my DCs. Oh well, even the rich collectors sell off their beauties once in a while!

  6. No, they slab them scrambled to hide all the defects!
  7. Hi Joanna, although this side conversation you are having with povertyrow may be "off-topic", I can totally relate to your feelings about selling your collection. Like you, I used to have such a hard time selling my books because I wanted to keep everything! I finally started to sell on eBay in 1998 and got some OK but not spectacular results. I took a few years off and didn't sell again until 2001 when I received my first batch of books from CGC. As like you, I prefer to collect DCs so I started to sell off my Silver Age Marvels but I decided to sell some DCs such as Superman 199, Flash 175, Green Lantern 59 and 61. My Marvels have done phenomenal but I have been disappointed with my DCs. Now, as I have basically decimated my Silver Age Marvel collection, I have to make the tough decision regarding which DCs to sell. Luckily, I have been hoarding them so I have plenty of multiples to choose from! However, I have 3 books that I remember owning as a kid and I doubt I would ever sell them even though I have multiples of some. They are Chamber of Chills 1, Phantom Stranger 15, and House of Mystery 189. Can't believe I remember all these books but my eyes light up every time I see them. I guess you do the same when you are making the difficult decision of deciding which one of your beloved DCs to sell!
  8. Ricky is in a bad mood because Crystin is doing her homework and ignoring him!
  9. Probably the white paged copy because the price should be cheaper and would have a better appeal to other if I choose to be like Rickdogg and flip it right away!
  10. Yeah, after a year of poor results for 9.6 copies, it appears to be picking up. I remember the good old days of $3,000+ for 9.6s. Now, it appears that white paged copies are becoming more in demand!
  11. Mmmm, I have the original post but I promise to keep quiet about it! This forum does not need another inflamatory post!
  12. Yes, I agree totally regarding page quality. When I sold my copy, a few other 9.6s sold around that time for $2,000. However, it might have helped that ComicLink sold a 9.8 copy at the same time for over $5,800 so my copy would have seemed liked a bargain! I highly doubt that a 9.4 will go for $4,000 within a year. There are far too many copies out there!
  13. Unfortunately, the system won't allow to change the rating for anyone. So...it's probably best to wait to see how well you like someone before you rate them!
  14. Yeah, the book was pretty slow for a while last year. I was lucky and sold my CGC 9.6 - White Paged copy for $2,850 earlier this year! This price for this 9.4 seems quite high!
  15. I would have loved to have admitted to giving you 1 stars to bring you down, I have to be honest and say that I rated you long time ago! What I rated you will be kept a secret!
  16. Are there only 2 copies in 9.8 at this time?
  17. Mmm, the buyer must love that book to buy two copies at that price. Hope he is not trying to sell it for a profit!
  18. Yep, that is why my eBay auctions go up tomorrow!
  19. Whoa! The board is getting too strange today! CI and Darth potentially CONSUMATING a deal? I'll believe it when I see it!
  20. Mmmm, I thought that you were an insider? Didn't he call you right away when the buy order came in or....did you just happen to be on the phone with him? BTW, do you have it set up that you do not accept PMs, as I have never received a response from you! Are you ignoring me?
  21. Screw that! I don't really want either comic. I just happen to come upon this gem for $1.
  22. What's up? No love between you 2 again? Personally, I could care less about the long-term potential of the book because it will soon be no longer mine!
  23. Hey, I have a nice high grade copy! Wanna trade?
