  1. Darth, if I was to sell my soul to the devil, it would be for a lot more than $4,500 less the 10% commission. Leave Scotty alone!
  2. Oh, I don't care how much that book sells 5-10 years from now. As long as the current buyer doesn't make as much money as I did! And think that I might get $1,000 + for the book when I repurchased it from my friend at guide. I bought it initially in the early 1990s for $30 and sold it for $125 to my friend after Morbius' popularity decreased! I would feel guilty by making so much money but I told my friend that I was going to get that book graded. Damn, I wish I could repurchase the ultra high grade Iron Man 55 I sold on eBay in 1998.
  3. Mmmm, is the buyer reputable? Hey, even CI said that the ultra high grades are immune from everything except maybe a Kryptonian disaster!
  4. Hey, they give me favours all the time. But, I don't whine like some when I don't get the grades that some people think they deserve!
  5. Yeah, the sale is only pending so hopefully the person who put in the order is reputable!
  6. Don't worry, Supa will be taken care of one way or the other. Don't know if either or both of my copies will come back 9.4 or better. We'll just have to see!
  7. Well, I have to give credit when credit was due! When I initially deciding what would be a good price to sell my Amazing Spider-man 101 CGC 9.8 at, I was stumped due to the lack of any significant sales of this book. I referred to CBG's CGC multiplyer and noticed that CGC 9.8s sold at a median price of 15 times CBG's price guide. Applying this to Overstreet, I came up with $2,675. I was wondering if this was reasonable. So....when Comiclink offered to buy the book directly and asked for my selling price, I went to Supa because he is a greedy S.O.B. but more with it with respect to rarer books. He based the $4,500 price because a CGC 9.8 number 98 sold for just under $4,000 on Comiclink. When I quoted this price to Comiclink, just let me say that he was shocked and did not buy it outright. So...I decided to list it at that price on Comiclink. I was expecting some offers on the book but 2 days after it was listed, I just received an EMAIL stating that someone is willing to buy it at my asking price. So Supa made me extra dinero with his advice. Thanks buddy! P.S. Murph0, I guess it is "worth" more than the $2,000 that you quoted!
  8. Yeah, we Canadians are tired of the cheap Yanks with their free boxes from the Post Office and crappy protection. I have to pay for all my supplies except the cardboard and still don't screw the people on shipping! I don't need to recover 100% of my cost and shipping. Otherwise, I would have charged you a few bucks extra!
  9. I tried to damage your GL 100 but I failed miserably. I guess the 6 pieces of cardboard protecting it helped.
  10. Just like any other "common" Marvel issues!
  11. Yes, I have them but not in ultra-high grade. Those issues always seem to be missing when you are looking through a run of Subbys!
  12. The books in the order that I would even consider buying at all are: 1) Marvel Team-up 1 - Black cover and Spider-man related makes it extremely tough in high grade and popularity. 2) Sub-mariner 8 - Glossy black cover and battle issue with the Thing. 3) Marvel Feature 1 - Square bound issue with the first official appearance of the Defenders. Some hare argued that Sub-mariner 34 and 35 are the actual true first appearance of the Defenders before they were given their name. Although Hero for Hire 1 may be tough in high grade, I just don't really see the crazy demand for the book. Any 1968s Marvel #1 issues are too common and everywhere. Definitely not a good investment.
  13. Ricky, I'm surprised that you were at 3 stars for so long. BTW, get rid of that nasty music on your my ebay page!
  14. Nothing a little trimming can't deal with! BTW, are you one of those nasty invisible registered users, so I can't e-stalk you! Although, it easy to find you. Any current thread with a CI comment!
  15. Yes, I have received books that did not have corner bends on them. They did it on a 9.6 book recently. Not too bad but it was a black cover! Maybe, we should have a gladiator contest to see whose stubborn opinions is the law!
  16. Because they are insufficiently_thoughtful_persons!
  17. Well if he paid attention to his oath to only watch and not meddle, Galactus would have won!
  18. FF 50 is the best of the three. The Surfer always looked better than the stupid Watcher.
  19. Yes, you impending fatherhood has made you bland and unspectacular! You might as well end it now!
  20. Let's bombard Maggie with EMAILs asking for that loser's @ss to be removed and to be sent to some comic re-education camp. You can be the headmaster!
  21. Also, invoices numbers that are not submitted also skewed the numbers. I once entered the same info twice so it was entered on 2 invoices. Therefore, I only submitted one of them.
  22. A recent serial number that I got back this month is 0110986010. It was entered through Heritage in May 2002 and received back this month.

  24. You must be old. I get up around an hour later but go to sleep from 12 to 1. However, I am sleepwalking throughout most of the day!
