Is anyone going to blog, tweet, or scope in real time while waiting in line, etc.?

I just left an advanced screening. Absolutely epic and nostalgic. It was everything TFA was not.
Is the rumor true that there is a Darth Vader "moment" in this movie that is as good (i.e.
Vader picks up & dumps the Emperor to save Luke
or rivals anything previously in the original trilogy?

5.0 Universal old label...I'm more than positive a pressing with resub would get a 6.0
Major league purchase, congrats as that is a beauty.
+1 What a way to end the year.

My wife's in England right now and sent me the run of Captain Britain minus #1 and #8. These are some of the Captain America and Red Skull issues, love the covers. I'll be headed over the pond next week, hopefully I'll find the missing issues.
Great stuff. When it comes to comics, my wife usually sends me a headache.

I think this is the essence of why ESB caught so many folks off guard and blew everyone away. Remember back then, no spoilers, no clue. As a kid at least, I never saw that ending coming. Meaning that Vader and the empire "won" with one of the greatest cinematic cliff hangers ever made in Boba taking off with Carb Han.
I read the novel version of ESB before it came out...that was a pretty big spoiler.
Spoiler understatement. Did not even know this existed at that point in time before the movie release. Props to you. How did it impact your movie experience?

Please, oh please, don't let there be the following sequence...
- Need to destroy a giant base
- Base is destroyed
I'm excited to see this movie but they really need to come up with something new.
***Since I know the Death Star won't be destroyed there's definitely hope

This movie is most likely not going to end "well" for the rebel alliance.

He's not a main character. One of the reviews I have read says he has a moment of "true horror" at some point in the film.
I don't think we've heard him speak in any of the trailers... supposedly, James Earl Jones is doing the voice.

Has it been discussed at all how many minutes of screen time Vader gets in this movie or still unkown @ this point?
UPDATE. From what I could find online, some are calling it a "cameo" And according to another site, Vader's total screen time in Episode IV was only actually 12 minutes. Seemed more than that.

Just saw this thread and have to be somewhere but will come back later.
I have a solid NM+ X-Force #2 (2nd Deadpool) I purchased from Dale on the boards here. Take for $15 and I will cover shipping. It will be overpacked and sent in a solid sturdy box.
I will dig for a scan later. Thanks.
Also have an Indiana Jones #1 VF/NM you can take for $5 and I cover shipping cost.

GPA sales
Walking Dead 1 CGC 9.8
2014 $1,982
2015 $2,075
12 month Avg $2,725
90 day $3,155
Last sale $3,040
Those numbers are astounding. Putting in higher highs for two years now. I remember a bunch of folks complaining about missing this one and how it was too late to fork out $2K for a Near Mint/Mint slab. Turns out there ended up still being 50% ROR on the table. And its not like liquidity was thin in 2014. Plenty always up for auction on ebay and BIN/BOs as well.

Is there any reason that rff7706 is on "The List"?
That seller has been on "The List" since October 2013. Wasn't there a list/thread before this one that got *poofed*? October 2013.
That link doesn't really explain anything, and I'd second the "why is rff7706 on the list?" question. If memory serves I've dealt with him a few times and never had an issue.
Ditto here. He is a good sport to deal with and very flexible on price depending on his margins and your buying size.

Stellar communication and very reliable. Great to deal with and paid immediately. Highly recommended

is superman in this book ?THIS arrived yesterday! Sorry about the junky pic on my old phone with my reflection in it & the sticker residue at the top right is on the sleeve, not the book. I had to snap a quick pic & send it to Russ right when it came in!! I'll try to get a better pic of this later. It's a grail for me! Always loved it but never thought I'd be able to get oneIs this the issue where he has the rope pulling contest with an elephant? I want to say no. But I read these a long time ago.

So, you're saying you've seen the entire movie? Otherwise, no way to tell that from a 2 minute trailer.Hell yeah!!! gonna be better than force awakensI am more interested in this than the abomination (to me) that was Force Awakens.
Me too. I want an original story without them blowing up another Death Star.
Isn't this a prequel to Star Wars and explains how the Rebels got the plans used to destroy the Death Star in the original movie?
Yes. This film will give fans the back story of how it all happened.
In terms of time gap (actual chronology in story, not movie time release chronology) there is what, at least 18-20 years or so between Episode III & Episode IV...... I was hoping to get multiple movies or a Rogue One like trilogy with Darth Vader and the rise of the empire. If done correctly, these could be the greatest movies yet.

Highest recommendation. Have now done multiple transactions with and hope to do more. Stellar communication and very considerate to deal with. Thanks again.

I was crunching numbers from AC #1 slabbed sales between 3.0 - 9.0. from 2010 through last year.
8.0 prices historically out @ $125K per point, the 8.5 @ $176K per point.
Where bottom end of spectrum mid to lowers are pricing out significantly below this.
And the outlier of that 9.0 is basically fetching 2X rate of the 8.5. BUT the 9.0 is a much more recent sale vs. many of these #s are stale from 2010 - 2011 where it seemed the public market was much more active.
What are you seeing on the private side and has the selling price on this slab really jumped that much in 5 years?
Do you think now would be a good time to unload a coverless/backless copy with some missing pages or does all above not even compute with that caliber? Thanks

I intend to take pictures and video. If they play one Creed song I'm leaving though.
Can you take me higher?

Epic thread in the making. The Bats mego idea & Bob's Friday analysis play-by-play was absolutely hilarious.
But seriously this is a completely awesome opportunity and development Roy. Be sure to keep us little folks that can not make it out to Chicago updated with pics or possibly video link(s)
He should set up a live stream
Great idea. FOTY worthy post right there......

My mailman brings me the coolest stuff.
Thanks to boardie DarthBane for this one.

I can't tell in your sigline, is that Supes throwing Zod, as in the original, or has that been altered to Bats?
Actually throwing Zod as in the original which still ranks in my top 5 of all time favorite movies. Did you like any particular one of those 70s Supes or not your cup of tea?
I was 6 when Superman came out. My brother was 7. It was capes for years around the house.
Superman 2 is quite possibly the finest hero/villain showdown in the history of superheroes.
Plus: "kneel before Zod."
Does it get any better?
Only Batman (1989).
We are about the same age so I would concur 100% with everything you said. We were quite lucky to get to watch this movie on the big screen in real time.
You are spot on this being the finest hero/villain showdown, Zod, etc. Also seeing Superman become mortal on the big screen was really quite something and of course you can not forget the diner scene(s).
In terms of movie sequels I really think you could strongly argue this Supes 2 being one of the greatest "part II" of any movie series from any genre, other than possibly ESB.

multiple drivers I know make 6 figures
What parts of the country do they live/drive in?
How many years with the company?
What kind of hours per work week are they putting in?
And I believe an employee of Fed ex is also chimed in this thread
dats true. 14hrs a day, 5 days a week will pull u in that kinda dough, but trust me, u can forget about any sort of a social life (which is why I'm a comic nerd)(No time for chicks)
What good is money without time?
I tell myself that on a daily basis, but trust me, it aint easy to walk away from albeit its tempting at times. The divorce rate is also pretty high as you'd imagine.
Just saw this before my other reply. When you have the opportunity to make this type of coin...when its right there in front of you and all you have to do is go through the motions.......I have the type of personality where it would be hard not do it like R.B. as well.
You can always pull back on the hours in the future. Meanwhile in the now, pack away as much money as you can. You should absolutely be maxing out your QRP or PSP account. Kudos to you.
Oh Btw do you mind me asking is there a big difference in pay for the big rig Ground truck drivers vs. say the local route truck delivery driver's gigs? Thanks.

Very true and great point. I don't even know what the last movie was I saw at the theatre. You would laugh; its been a few years at least.
