A Very Snowy day in NYC. 20 inches! Late 1990’s. But that wasn’t going to stop me from Driving into NYC to attend the Comic book show. I think it was the Javits center but I really don’t remember. Robert Ragovin of four color comics had the Mile high Detective # 27 up on the Rack. I had it in my hands. I believe it was graded in todays vernacular as an Unrestored 8.0. ( Pre CGC) He was asking 100k. Out of my league at the time, but a nice thrill I thought I’d mention.

It’s totally off . I prefer a simple buy it now instead of this chess game. Perhaps the buy it now would shock people away.

They are looking for a huge market . I’ve offered 5 times what they paid 2 years ago and am routinely rejected. that Bulletman 1 you see in the picture, it’s said offer 2k. I’m up to a 17k offer. Rejected. There suggested offers give you no guide what do ever.

I find it very frustrating. The bids are either ignored or rejected . Are they even interested in selling?

If I told you the prices I bid you’d say a Fred Sanford “ Are you crazy” !!! and I still lose.

Which book would you pick ? The Larson or non pedigree. Both being 7k

It was originally a 5.5 under the “ White Rose collection.

I do believe this is the original PCE copy before slabbed.

Actually this 8.5 went for significantly more when you consider the 9.0 was for 50k less.

My first pickup coming back. Low grade but as rare as they come .
