There are some exact reprints on EBay with correct page sizes to fit. The covers are very convincing.

Unlike other copies, these are the correct size of the original

I’ve seen these copies. On the Action 1 the white dress shirt has an orange hew to it on the reprint

You know, the Stock market isn’t the only place that has Bubbles. Baseball cards went crazy too and as a result the cards have stagnated for 3 decades with some exceptions. Now with Technology, the reproductions 0f card’s not only look good, they look aged too. This has cheapened the card collecting copy to me. I mention this because I’m see unauthorized copies on eBay for Key book- and they are looking better and better every day. Inexperienced buyer beware!

I think a Coverless Detective 27 is at least 100k now. Just my opinion.

I see on EBay 2- coverless Detective 27’s. Both are missing the first 3 wraps centerfold and cover. ( which is the entire Batman story) One is asking 25k- one is asking 15k- There are Action 1 pages for sale which contain the Superman story on EBay. One page is going for 15k the other 13k- No one in biting. There is a Splash page for Superman 1 going for 8 k. Complete unrestored Golden age keys are the realm of Millionaires alone now, Let’s start a Crowdfunding service for these books now. Lol

In both cases, there is a higher graded ungraded copy.

The question to me is- Is a 9.2 unrestored Detective #27 worth more than a 9.0 Action # 1 ?

I have to admit Metropolis Comics is the Best source for Key Golden age books. They practically built my collection of the top 100 Overstreet books. 2- Action 1’s, a Detective 27 and way more. There is just no one close in my experience.

They were appraised by Profiles in History ( the premier Hollywood prop appraisers) in 2011 for 200K on national television. You can see the episode on the Internet . The show is Hollywood treasures . Episode 11- chasing Rudolph. It highlights the puppets, my Action 1 and the 1966 Batmobile

I bought them from the guy who bought them from the guy on the antique road show.

They are about 15 k a page for the Superman story on Action 1 today.
