  1. Im not saying a Superman # 1[in 4.5] is blow away rarer than a suspence # 3 [8.0] It is up for grabs but I would pick the Sup because it seams everytime you run into a Sup1 some where some how , Its always found with resto on it. I do understand that Suspence 3 in any grade is scarce[i have owned one before] and it is scarce/rare in 8.0 and above. I also understand that its tuff to find complete being that there are no staples[glue holds the pages together]
  2. I have not found a MPFW yet...which doesn't suprise me, since there are only 8 copies out there ( 1 coverless....I don't do coverless ) I have funds set aside for a MFPW, which will one day surface...so you better be prepared for a bidding war! I'm ready! But, I might just find one under the radar and avoid the carnage... Ut!!! Just saw one fly by..........! Im a former owner of MPFW.Sold about 7 years ago...I can tell you even though there are only 8, one does pop up ever 2 to 3 years for some reason or other. The origanal art to the cover exsists too. sold for 23k to B.S in the 1990s[i witness the auction] Did you take a go at the pay copy last year?
  3. I think that along with Batman #1, Superman # 1 Is the most Restored goldenage key of all time.Look at the census. It is lopsided in favor of restored books. This book is really tuff unrestored and when you start going over 4.0 it really gets scarce. Superman #1 is a classic beautiful cover.
  4. I got news for you. The 4.5 Blue label Superman # 1 is the Rarer book of the two. Ajusted for condition in an unrestored state that is. I think the book is worth 60k today. Superman is my choice.
  5. Wow!!!! A 5.0 unrestored Batman # 1. I am impressed.
  6. Ya know I think that is probably the most attractive Batman cover of em all. Matter of fact I think thats why its so popular.
  7. You have the one that counts! When this thread started I had zero GA Tecs. Now I have........well .. a lot more. Six actually (42, 77, 80, 102, 109, 187). Its a beauty !, and in San Diego too I see.
  8. Creativity is the way to go to be sure.
  9. Detective 27kid you are awesome. Any luck on a # 27 ?
  10. Well yeah, Ill admit its a nicer cover on the Bat,
  11. You can always find a tec 33. A MPFW particularly the pay copy is a once in a lifetime opportunity without question.
  12. Yes Id take the MPFW . T his book is virtually 1 of a kind. Its high grade. Its a first app of a Major character. It is unrestored. There are many Tec 33s out there. Many many more than MPFW.This is the one instance and Only instance where subby beats out the bat.
  13. If I remember the Action 1 sold for 86k and the All star 3 sold for 126k.
  14. Ill take the Action # 1 to know ones surprise! Just a note. The Nick Cage Action # 1[seen above] is one of the richest color cover Action # 1s I have ever seen. Notice that the book looks much better than a vg 4.5 and thats because on the Nick cage copy all of the damage[for lack of a better word] is on the back cover. That is what brought it down to a 4.5, even though it has off white to white pages . You can see a scan of the back cover on the Heritage archieves to see what Im talking about.
  15. I know what cgc says it is...but do you agree.?
  16. What is your own personal diffenition of a book in a blue label or what does it mean, that a book is in a blue lable ? What you take it to mean?. Im sure not all interpretations are necessarily the same.
