  1. The Tec # 27 IS JUST TO Big a book to ignore it.Id pick the Tec. The Marvel one is nice especially being the much rarer Oct copy, But this copy lacks what I visually love about the cover of a Marvel # 1 . Its missing those deep Blue colors that the cover has on the better copys.
  2. That is exactly my view ! Im not pushing it on anyone,ok.... The definition of UNRESTORED is simple to me= UNTOUCHED.
  3. How about a real life sample. The Cap or the 9.2 larson or Mile High# 52s .Both have slight work on them and still got a blue label.
  4. Im still following the Shuster Auction. Where do you think it will end up?
  5. Where the heck have you been lately? same as always. Making purchases I can't afford and then scrambling to raise the $$ to pay for them. (Speaking of which, I'm off to see if I can't raise another $15k or so by the weekend) Ditto !
  6. I thought that was the Mile High More Fun 53! I see its the Rockford. Still prefer the Cap.
  7. Oh my gosh.Oh yes the Cap by all means, and its a pedigree too.
  8. my user name is by design.....Showcase 4 ( the book ) is the 1st Silver Age appearance of The Flash ( love that guy! ) AND the 1st Silver Age book. As a collector of historically important comics, the "1st SA book" aspect is a big deal. With that said, the marketplace has chosen AF15 as the "big one". Agreed! AF15 is the clear Supremo Silver age book.
  9. nice book....to answer your question, I do not know if the British or US version is rarer, but US versions are always more valuable than the UK printings( here in the States, that is) --- sorry Congrats Showy
  10. Well Ill answer for myself. Im a Batman collector so..... Spiderman is more popular. But from a collecting standpoint a 9.4 Detective 38 is tuffer to find that a 9.4 AF15[in my opinion] I think the white mountain is a tad over graded. I do believe The Allentown copy is as good as it gets.I think there are a few copies better than the white mountain. I think the Allentoen TEC 38 IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME SHOT that I missed out on.I do not believe a 9.4 AF15 is a once in a lifetime shot. There will be more opportunities. My Batman collection is not complete with out Robin. These are my reasons. No universal laws here
  11. Exactly what I was thinking Adam, and your right.
  12. You really think the white mountain copy is a true 9.4 ?
  13. Thats a tuff one. The Allentown Tec 38 is the best exsisting copy and the White mountain AF15 is not the best copy. Both are very popular characters. Neither is a rare book in any condition[yes in 9.4 they are] Im a Batman collector So Ill take the Allentown.
  14. You are earning your new name rick! Great looking comicbook.
  15. West, Would you consider becomming the Marvel1kid ?
  16. Rick I like it ! Dont change it. I was just funnin.
