  1. Sounds like you're just looking for an excuse to neg him. It's called standards. I messaged him and asked him why he didn't messaged me before filing a dispute but he replied with smart remarks. Then accused me of not paying because others before me didn't pay. So does he deserve a negative? I think so. Even the DSR has questions regarding the sale and so far it's pretty poor. Maybe I just got a little emotional but once the books comes, my attitude will change. More than likely I give him a nuetral and lower the DSR.
  2. seller lacked the communication, seller impatiently kept on sending invoice within a 2 hr span, sellers auction description did not state his terms and other issues. Just because another buyer failed to pay, doesn't mean the next person won't. Guess I will wait and see how the packing is and if he fails to properly package it, he will deserve a negative feedback. 3 strike rule.
  3. he messaged me and stated he open a case because lately he has been having winners not pay and he opened a case because he stated after 2 invoices he opens it. To me that is just bad business. It's like when a buyer opens a dispute without notifying the seller about the issues they have. I already paid him.
  4. Anybody here know if this eBay seller is on here? username is Hobbiesrus I won an auction this last Friday at 8pm. Seller sends 4 to 5 invoices within less than 2 hrs of auction ending. Was busy all weekend, people have lives to live and people to see. Today seller files a dispute stating no pay. Auction didn't state when payment needs to be made. I usually pay within 3 business days and so far, I see it as 2 business days has barely pass. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Comics-Uncanny-XMen-Superhero-comic-book-lot-collection-100-VF-143-300-/201126474062?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=Kxgb9ah3XEzD9h%252Fl47hTsxWgRYY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_155wt_1047 So far with the seller sending numerous invoices just annoyed me and now filed a dispute because I didn't pay? So far, I'm leaning towards a negative feedback. So my question is: What is the rule of thumb to pay for an auction when or if it ends on a weekend? Mine is 3 business days max.
  5. Not that hard to hit the spam button or unsubscribed
  6. I agree with Revat. Gatchaman, I get the point but I guess people take things differently and isn't like myself where if the seller doesn't response to my questions I wouldn't care and just move on rather than sulk about it. This is a web forum, not a blog or a diary...
  7. Seriously? Because a seller ignores you and you want to nominate him/her? When a seller doesn't get back to me after a week, I would send another request and after that I wouldn't care as I saved myself money I can tell you that the nominator has/will go on the 'list' of many people who do business here. Yuuuup! So let me get this straight... because I called a guy out on his poor business practices (for a sale that just needed a price to be done, for stringing me along over the course of a few weeks, wasting my time, and pretty much making me feel like I wasn't worth a response), then in your minds, I somehow come out as the bad guy? Wow. Humanity continues to surprise me with it's utter foolishness. But if you feel that you need to block me for that, then by all means, do so. I did preface everything with "I'm not sure if this is exactly probation-list material..." Everyone seems to love ignoring that fact, even though I mentioned it at least twice. I checked the prerequisites for nomination, and it doesn't state completed transactions, which is why I wasn't sure. I even did a number of searches for the topic, but nothing relevant turned up. It was either post here, or in "comic general." This seemed like the better fit. I wanted to post what he did here so that there were some minor consequences for his actions. At the very least, it's people knowing how he handled himself. It's no different than a review of sorts. This shouldn't be hard to understand. And that's all I'll say about the subject. with your complaint because somebody didn't get back to you and now this response just makes me think you don't take rejection very well. Did you get rejected asking the popular girl in school to prom? How did you take it? In all seriousness, you just wasting your time crying over nothing. If he doesn't want to sell to you then he doesn't, he has that right. Have you ever seen a sign like this when you walk into a business establishment? Just because you have money doesn't mean he is in need of it... I bet the seller is reading your post right now and singing along with this music video...

You asked in the right place. No worries. With some of the stuff that happens here and with ebay sales your "rude seller" is not even on the radar by comparison. You appear to be a high maintenance buyer which some sellers would rather avoid. (thumbs u I bolded the malarky. (thumbs u I totally agree with this statement

  10. Huh? PayPal personal - not free Postal MO 14%? Paypal personal is free, but as others pointed out there is the CDN to USD conversion so yes, there is something lost in there (or you can gross up 1%. The postal MO was based off of a $50 MO. Canadian post charges $7 for a money order going to the US. So 7/50=.14*100=14% paypal personal no fee charged only if you send with paypal balance or checking account. Green dot moneypak is another cheaper solution for a refund. I think most check cashing places will sell you a money order for .50 to a $1. I know moneytree does.
  11. Ario is another reason why we have such a good community here. My transaction with him has been a positive one and was really easy to communicate with.
  12. So what's with the Hustruck guy if I don't mind asking...
  13. So I read the Symbiotic shilling thread and I vote to have JewellzCardzandCo on the probation list for eBay shilling. This boardie doesn't sell here. His attitude is well regarded by another as "going off the deepend". I usually wouldn't care less about a shiller but when a person acts and degrades person/people, then it becomes a little personal. Today I have found out he is definitely a auction shiller. His auctions are usually if not always are put on private by not showing who is bidding shows to me that he is shilling those auctions. My original post: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=4&Number=7628993&Searchpage=1&Main=210944&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post7628993 He was selling a Spider-Man hologram CGC set under the name aznlovesauce2014 which was changed recently because to mock me. My username was aznlovesauce. I since then deactivated my account due to his actions and words. Prior to changing his name it was jewellzcardzandcomicz & waylonanderson. So I offered him $250 for his set but he would only sell for $275. I told him I will only pay $250 and that was what I'm willing to spend. So I declined his offer through eBay. A few days later, he messaged me asking if I still want for $275, I stated no. He then blocked me from bidding (such a great attitude because somebody said no.) I then looked at his account and he put the same set for sale auction with no reserve. So I began to put in a bid and found out I got blocked. I asked him why and he went all ape *spoon* on me with meaningless name calling like a child. Anyways, here is what he was selling as BIN: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPIDER-MAN-CGC-9-8-HOLOGRAM-LOT-/261444715209?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3cdf51c2c9&nma=true&si=QyS%252F3PX1V2PkpopoMk5p%252BTipUbU%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_894wt_4162 Here is his auction style listing with a winner: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261455502610?_trksid=p2055120.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT#ht_894wt_4162 And after the winning of his auction I posted an update with my findings: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=4&Number=7628993&Searchpage=1&Main=210944&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post7628993 And today, I find out another seller is selling the exact same thing for the same price with the same pictures. Notice the description about shady monkey business.... Same type of description that was used on aznlovesauce2014. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPIDER-MAN-CGC-9-8-HOLOGRAM-LOT/321386664060?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222005%26algo%3DSIC.PROD%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D21398%26meid%3D6409566530092709117%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D9407%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D261444715209#ht_786wt_4038 His full set request: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=293102&Number=7563818#Post7563818
  14. Even though I present a lot of options in this guide, I actually only use three different sizes myself: 1) Mylites2 (Standard) 725M2 with either a 700FB Full-Back or a 700HB Half-Back. This is how the vast majority of my collection is protected. 2) Mylites (Standard) 725M with a 700HB Half-Back, which is then placed inside an Archive (Silver/Gold) 775R with a 750FB Full-Back. For higher-priced Moderns & Bronze. 3) Mylites2 (Gold) 800M2 with a 758 Half-Back or Full-Back, which is then placed inside an Archive (Super Gold) 825R with a 778FB Full-Back. For Silver and Gold. If I were to do things over again, I'd probably get rid of option (2) entirely, and just do option (1) for moderns, and option (3) for everything else. In regards to DC 100 Page giants & square-bound books in general, they fit in a Mylites2 (Silver/Gold) 775M2, but things get kinda tight if you use the correctly-sized 750 Full-Back. If you use a 750 Half-Back, the entire package seems too flimsy. I put books like that in the option (3) combo above, but leave out the 778 FB Full-back in the Archive (so I only use one backing board total) - it looks like this: NICE! I plan on doing this as well
  15. Thanks Harvey, totally forgot about your thread.
  16. 1) eBay sales are valid for nomination so long as both the buyer and seller are members of this board. 2) there is a list for bad ebay sellers to avoid, feel free to nominate someone to it. I don't think he/she is on here. Can you provide a link to the eBay sellers to avoid? I found a few but not a compiled list or a master list.
  17. Too bad the PL/HOS can't have eBay sellers T_T
  18. Awesome seller who had some awesome books for an awesome price that I couldn't turn down. Thanks and will definitely buy more of awesomeness
  19. I listed up 3 slabs and Paul picked them all up and paid fast. Thanks
  20. Glad you enjoyed it. Post them up when you get CGC.
  21. Seller has awesome communication and fast service. Thanks so much. I will purchase again
  22. Yes but in fairness it does work both ways. If a buyer delayed payment the seller would equally have to wait 30 days before pursuing the buyer. It is not weighted for or against one or the other. I definitely agree. Most other forums don't have rules or laws like these. Usually when a buyer doesn't pay you move on but with comics I guess these are not just collections or hobbies but peoples jobs. Well noted to let sellers know I'm bring the wraith of PayPal on them next time
  23. Those are the rules. (thumbs u I read that but no where does it state a rule for waiting 30 days for something you paid for. Or is it more of a "rule of thumb" per-say? this thread explains the 30 days rule. I read that and quite honestly it's so dang vague. Doesn't state anything about buyer never receiving what they paid for and can't file dispute without waiting 30 days. Those rules just seems to mean both parties have 30 days to fully complete the transaction prior to nominating those involved to the probation list. No where does it state that jumping the gun to file a dispute is a no no but seems like it's more of a rule of thumb to not jump the gun. However in my case I felt it was more than fair as I have asked twice and the third time was to file a dispute to start the process with a mediator in between which is paypal to moderate the issue. Just know that "jumping the gun" in regards to filing disputes will upset some sellers here. That may be enough for some sellers not to sell books to you anymore. It's not necessarily fair, but a few sellers don't want to deal with people they feel may cause them headaches. WOW?!? Seriously? Now that is not fair but then again it's their property and they can choose who they do business with or not but still trying to punish somebody for protecting themselves because they filed a dispute can be considered extortion. It's like saying, "oh you paid? Well I have 30 days to send it out or provide tracking so you can't do anything until then."
  24. yup an iphone not as good as a laptop or tablet. But as stated in my previous post that rule is for probation or probation nomination. Doesn't state anything about me getting paypal involved to solve an issue. The members here can say this and that about the buyer and the seller but doesn't mean the seller doesn't have to comply. That is why paypal dispute comes into play where and when you file a dispute paypal provides all forms of resolution to help resolve any issues. Maybe I have a lot more to learn from being on this forum but I guess hearing what other long term members say does help in the future of purchases. I have sold a hand full of things so far and as a seller in my own perspective, I prefer to send out what was paid for asap to my best ability but then again that is just me.
