  5. Thanks for your great insight on the Punisher cover sales @Jay Olie Espy! I believe the Jusko PWJ cover's new owner (not me) is very pleased with his win
  6. Yup my next article will cover the CLink and CC auctions! This piece will be discussed too
  7. The CLink Jusko Masterpieces went cheap; my buddy was thrilled to pick up Darkhawk at that price Another friend bought the $3.2k Mr Fantastic on eBay.
  8. Perfect for us Asian collectors though; starts at 9AM here in Singapore. The HA Signature auctions however...
  9. Wow $12.5k for all that looks like a good deal, given Groo's following, Aragones' pedigree and the vintage of that art!
  10. That seems like a pretty fair price; are covers included in the $12.5k?
  11. Prices were all over the place: the 7.5 went for $14k and the 7.0 fetched $20.4k!
  12. Churchill is criminally underappreciated... the Storm splash depreciated $35
  13. The "snap" page popped up - same collector who bought Master Race: https://www.2dgalleries.com/art/infinity-gauntlet-issue-1-page-28-107847
  14. Congrats on the win Dave, it's an Incredible piece I was the underbidder - lost out in 2012 too These Churchill Cable prices were very attractive; I bought the previous week's Storm splash as a Christmas gift. HA generally lists Sunday Auction items about a week before they end, and there's often at least one high quality item per auction that catches my eye.

  17. I've been expecting this to happen, but mid-quality '70s superhero OA seems to be holding strong following the past couple years' price upticks The $19.2k Hulk #5 page was under FMV for a piece of that quality; weaker pages have sold for around $20k. $30k for the GSXM #1 page was strong but understandable - buyer paid up for the historical significance, in spite of those teeny figures. All these auctions have got my juices flowing, think I'll go crank out an article!
  18. Hi all, wanted to share this video interview that OA collector Michael OML did on Selling Heroes with Carbo & Anthony. His segment starts at the 1:08:45 mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxdvPDatR2I And do check out Anthony & Carbo's fun show - they regularly showcase and discuss OA

  21. Yeah it was a confusing moment for me too Haven't read either in a while, but IIRC I actually read IW before IG, and found IW to be the more interesting story! My main gripe with IG is that Starlin didn't stick the landing... it sorta fell apart over the last 1.5 issues
