I, for one, love your updates... but this one might benefit from a little more, um, specificity.

i need all the help I can get sometimes.

annihilation, x-men vol 1, Uncanny vol. 2 3, X-men by Claremont and Lee Vol 1 2, Uncanny X-force, Infinity Gauntlet, Inferno, Fall of the mutants.  Their is a lot more but I only collect the x-men ones mostly.  Plus the fact that you get them for 40% off mostly, I doubt most people are paying near retail for them.

What are the books, can you show some pics?

I only have my cell phone so i cant scan.  I sent them pics the first time and they just said we cant tell anything.  The books were Giant-Size Fantastic Four's, the Giant-Size/Annual holder's.

  3. Modern Fast Track

    2/28 They got Them

3/6 They say they got them

    3/18 Shipped

5 of the books inner wells were moving around.  You could hear them rattle.

    4/1 Reholder They got them

    4/16 I got Them

    4/16 Still charged for Re-Holder

Paid Modern Fast track For 5 books that was probably longer than slow.

3 of the books still Rattle.....Was told that the Giant Size books will have some rattle.  A graded collectible will move around in its case and its OK.  I don't get it

  4. Like some other's have said Point One seems to be doing well on the Little nova spec. reg. covers 10ish, bradshaw variants 20-40 (9.8 150+), Sketch 300+.  Hard to say because he could have a decent role if hes added, the problem is why would you add him other than a little kids nova.

    Amazing Fantasy 1 (2004), another movie spec 10+ and 150+ 9.8

    Omnibus, Annihilation 300+ opened, Uncanny X-men vol 3 , 200+ opened, claremont vol1 & 2 200+

Omnibus are nice because you can get them at 42% off and let them sit on you shelf after reading.  Annihilation Conquest at 110, up from 72ish at retail (yes i know retail was 125 but nobody paid it).

Avengers 684, I didnt think it would still hold 40 raw or 200 9.8 but it is.

I know these have all been seen before but back on track

  5. So, this mini battle, just all going to keep posting in an attempt destroy each other?

I would like to think that everyone is on here because they like comics. A common ground.

Came for the comics. Stayed for the pizza and beer discussions. lol

This place normally rocks. Holidays are stressful. They're almost over and we should be enjoying them instead of bickering. Fighting about stuff is too easy but not fun. Comics on the other hand are brilliant when done well and very enjoyable.

So what is heating up and who is this Larraz guy who did the Poe Dameron cover ? Why is it selling so high on ebay ?

    Cover

It doesn't come up for sale often. I stumbled on it by accident but it does sell for a little bit.

Thank You, never seen this cover before.

I'll add a book that just sold also.

  6. A Re-post from a couple weeks ago that got caught up in the mess.

Captain Marvel 1 Yu Variant (Not bad for how cheap this book was when it came out) $50+

Inferno 1 Granov Variant (Probably the best Magik cover you can get?) $50+

And then there was Saga 1, seems to be picking back up again. Don't remember if its moving up to what it was when it first came out or pushing past that. This is the book that just slowly does its thing and gets better all the time (Story Wise).

  7. Excellent packaging again by Skybound. Now to try and get the black and white one. The only store within 100 miles of me couldn't order it.

So lucky I got the variant ordered. I got an email saying gold one goes up on the site again tomorrow.

Glad I bought the gold one when I did also. I figured the run would have been more than 300. Another +1 on the packaging.

  8. Oh! I didn't know that 9.6 was the same one that recently sold . Didn't notice the serial #s until now lol. So the guy is trying to just flip the book?

Were you the original owner RMA? I thought you were joking lol

Yup, that was my book that I bought in a bulk variant lot about 5 years ago. I had set it aside to get signed by Campbell at some point, and it never happened. I knew it wasn't a 9.8, and you know how most moderns go...if it's not 9.8, it's trash.

Forgot I had it until recently, ran across it, pressed it, subbed it onsite at Baltimore...and Voila!

Yes, he's just trying to flip the book. More power to him. What he does with it after me ain't my concern. I just wish the results of the MCS sale had been known to me; I would have been less willing to let him talk me down. ;)

Your copy sold about 5-10min before the other one.

The MCS sale took place first through MCS's website, after which it was removed from eBay manually by MCS.

I received an offer of $1,000 at 6:14 (PDT) the evening before. I countered at $1300 at 9:19. The next morning, I had a counter of $1150, and accepted it.

The timing of the MCS sale is a coincidence. Had I known about it, I would have stuck to my original offer, but $1150 was acceptable to me, so I took it.

Which is what makes it odd since your copy, even at full ask, was cheaper than the MCS copy by more than $200.

While it "might" be somewhat plausible that a comics shopper on eBay does not know they can buy direct from MCS, it is not so much to believe that an MCS shopper wouldn't know that you can buy comics on ebay- hence why MCS cross lists virtually all of their listings on eBay.

    I call shenanigans.

    -J.

What are you talking about? Should I send my check back to MCS then?
