  1. Can't go wrong with that. Fabulous condition. Love that title. Congrats.
  2. Nice books. Recil seems to be surfacing all over the place lately.
  3. Does anyone know the page count on the books, were the earlier books thicker?
  4. I'm collecting these books now, only got 4. This was my first one and not too bad a way to start, a decent enough copy.
  5. Maybe we could use this thread for general chit chat about stories therein, panels, artists etc., as well as boardies posting their books as and when they get them or already own. I doubt many people own a complete run. That was my thinking anyway.
  6. I'll happily delete this if necessary but I can't find a thread devoted solely to PLANET. I've tried the 'user-unfriendly' search function (I can never find anything I want on that), and I've scolled thru' the first 30 pages of GOLD myself to no avail. I know that there is a FICTION HOUSE thread and a SPACE GIRLS thread but surely PLANET deserves its own thread? Such an iconic title, many with jaw dropping covers needs its own space. There's plenty of stuff of interest to talk about 'Planet-wise' plus its a great way for the many Planet owners to showcase their awesome books. (I only own 4 at present ) Like I say if it's a bad idea, I'll wipe the thread.
  7. That is one of my all-time favorite space girl covers, Grantley. My copy: Really nice Rick
  8. Me latest Space Girlie type comic book. Cover is quite demure in comparison to many others.
  9. Nice snag! There were some titles that had 64 pages up to a few years after the war. And they were bought with Silver dimes... Thanks. I'm English btw, what's a silver dime? Is that the same as a regular one? No. US coin mintage for dimes, quarters, halves, and dollars was manufactured with 90% silver content until I believe 1965, when they changed to "cupro-clad", using other metals. The dimes minted from 1964 and earlier are currently worth about $1.41 for their silver and copper content (melt value).

  11. I just got this. My earliest comic book so far. 1936-80 years old I know many people have Platinum/GA books of this age in incredible condition, but I do not because I'm not in that league. When I get a book of this age in good solid all around condition, which I can read and enjoy it blows me away. Back in 1936 you certainly got a lot of value for your dime. These FF books are absolutely crammed with all kinds of stuff, there is something for everyone in these issues, it really is an eclectic mix of stories and articles. 64 pages as well
