  1. As tempting as it is, I'm staying out of this one... I'll watch from afar and either regret it, or be really glad i'm not stuck with a copy. One of the auctions stated that this is a 3000 ltd. print run. but your question is still valid.
  2. Excellent! Lets just start some new . So the Spider-Gwen #1 ASM #300 homage variant is selling like hotcakes!
  3. I think the problem with CCS and CGC is, in terms of convenience and reputation, they are THE brand names. Also, lack of competition means they essentially have us by the balls. Nothing against them, They're obviously doing a good job otherwise they wouldn't have the volume they do. My point is that personally, I have to deal with the charges and price increases because (especially being in Canada) my options for pressing and grading are limited. Just my opinion.
  4. Ads don't matter in regards to arguing over first appearances. Ads very much do matter when they lead to a book being recalled. It's the first appearance of the Grey Hulk in an ad on a star wars book!
  5. I've seen a bunch of posts where ppl are convinced that all these missing copies are being held onto by hot topic employees. doesnt really matter, just pointing out a pointless subject.
  6. I think everyone here automatically assumes that all the Hot Topic employees know the value of this book, and that they all understand the comic market. Yes, I'm sure some of them do, but to assume that all these missing books are in the hands of HT employees is ridiculous. Besides, they will most likely be returned through ebay now that they aren't worth $1500 or whatever ridiculous price they were selling at.
  7. 30. Been collecting on and off for years since i was 16.
  8. I buy the covers I like. Variant or not.
  9. I started off buying graded books that I liked. Mostly SS books by creators I had little chance of meeting. Now I buy raw and sub. I don't buy for the purpose of flipping, but sometimes my tastes change and I sell a few books to get something I like. I don't buy specifically for the purpose of flipping. Thats too much work.
  10. 5 short boxes and a crate of CGC's. Ya, thats right, I said crate! (It's from winners, i've only got like 20 books in it, !)
  11. Man, where was that little tip 3 brain injuries ago? Now whenever I see flashing lights I pi$$ my pants. The kids love flicking the light switch on and off... little bastards!
  12. Only if you're a buyer or seller. Otherwise, its pretty entertaining. Yep. This train went from 0-100-trainwreck so fast that trying jump aboard would be like trying to catch a falling knife. So instead...... Wait... so.... you can't catch a falling knife? Its all in the wrist my friend. ...oh, and knowing the knife is falling helps.... at least you can duck.
  13. Only if you're a buyer or seller. Otherwise, its pretty entertaining.
  14. Soooooo expensive!!!! But sooooooo awesome!!!
  15. I'm going to list exclusive "no cover" hot topic variants. The starting price is 1 billion, Obo. They are in NM+ condition.... Except for the missing cover part... They will come bagged with no board and shipped securely folded in an envelope With "do not fold again" written on it. Oh and free shipping. Positive feedback only!!! No returns Accepted. PM me for details and sexy pics.
  16. simple, go apply for a job today, talk to the manager, see if you can do an interview tomorrow. Then start your training the next day. Then sell yourself the comics at an employee discount. You will be fired, but you will have bought your comics, maybe get paid for a couple hours work. Note: This is probably only worth it if you have a LOT of free time or you can get a HIGH number of comics. I am pretty sure Hot Topic doesn't hire 40+ year olds.. -slym Ok, I'm on it. All I need is a delivery truck, a fake mustache, and some chloroform. ....Wait... what were we talking about?
