https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spawnmasterworks/original-medieval-spawn-action-figure-and-comic-remastered-24/description McFarlane launched a Kickstarter for Medieval Spawn action figure reboot/remaster. $83 per fig shipped in US, just not sure, money tree goes brrr Combo shipping in MULTS of 3 pcs only. I paid $80 plus $25 shipping for the blue/black versions of the first Spawn remaster. It was during covid and a fun splurge. Part of me can justify it for the comic books, however I'm finding $80+/fig a price of high resistance. Not sure! Wow me, Toddfather

You're probably not going to be able to send comics to a jail unless it's part of some established subscription service the jail allows. But you can send him comics that you draw! -

Totally. I like to say that we were fools. Thankfully, we still are.

February 1998 I was in my last semester in college, planning a wedding and definitely collecting this book. I even bought the print set Vess did, still sealed. And I like the movie!

Usagi Yojimbo collection
oldmilwaukee6er replied to GoldenAgeAddict's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
I think the facebook groups is the best avenue. I am looking for a #1 2nd print and one of the Art of Usagi books. I know exactly what you mean about the store exclusive or Dojo variants. It's like I don't begrudge Sakai for ringing that bell. He deserves to rake in a little extra cash but at the same time I don't have to participate anymore. 1:50 covers just to get Sakai's cover art I take what my LCS pulls for me and thank them. And it took a long time and wrestling with FOMO to get there. -

Anything and everything Dark Horse
oldmilwaukee6er replied to Parabellum's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
I've personally collected Usagi since 04 and I've only seen this once in the wild. It's not as rare as.the yellow Space Usagi ashcan but it is very desirable -
Once I subscribed for 3 years and got an exclusive Witchblade Darkness comic. I swapped it to my local (Billings MT) for $280 in trade and that was a fun day!

I personally love synthesis work such as Grand Design. With mountains of canon, it's required reading IMO

Some Saturday morning fun coming up for me - unboxing NECA's Year of the Rabbit set. This includes a new Space Usagi sculpt and some thoughtful accessories true to the comics. One fun 'happy cartoon' head. Also fun are the 6 tokage lizards ... only 2 figures had that prior (plus MAYbe one SDCC exclusive). Finally I've always liked a good Samurai armor Usagi, since the original 1989 Playmates figure had him w/ armor. The 2013 TNMT line Samurai Usagi is great but this one is much more colorful w/ accessories that recall the 90s Leonardo Sewer Samurai figure. Also awaiting a carded Usagi from the 2003 TMNT line in (what I believe is) 2005 packaging vs normal 2004 packaging. There's a few that seemed to fly under the radar recently- happy to add one to my collection. While the sculpt diverges from Usagi in the comics or in the show really, I like the swivel action and that Usagi can be set to finish the swipe in his iconic kill pose from the comics. This line also had a Battle Nexus Gennosuke "Gen" figure that fetches $200+ (UY's Rhino bounty hunter friend). A someday chase. One drawback - it's a challenge to find clamshells for the larger 2003-2005 cards so condition can be tricky.
