  1. I found the CGC website one day. Two months later I figured out what "Boards" meant after clicking on it by accident. Three and a half years later, I'm still here! Dan
  2. Steve - I saw the Bowling Green Daredevil #10 at Chicago: 9.4 oww. Don't know the serial number, unfortunately. Dan
  3. Steve et al - Why, yes! It is indeed for sale. Thanks for mentioning it. This is a great copy, but it's on the block due to my OA purchase. 9.0 is top census for this book, too. Anyone interested can PM me if they're interested. Dan
  4. One of my only 10-centers... Cool thread! Dan
  5. Heh heh heh...like the title adjustment!
  6. Props to clobberintime for two awesome books, and to Nick (flaming_telepath) for buying some nice raw stuff. Kudos! Dan
  7. KUDOS to Fantastic Four for picking up that awesome FF #13 from me! KUDOS to BlazingBob for helping me organize a six-month order for a bunch of high-grade FF's, then sending me all the books this past week! KUDOS to fantasyfootballbono for saying "Drummy's books are like crack." (Only my Fantastic Fours, by the way, many of which are staying in the collection.) That's good advertising! Dan
  8. As a HG FF collector, I found this "random stat" very helpful. I'm always looking to divert time and funds toward books that I might not see again for a long, long time, and the CGC "scarcity index" - taken with a grain of salt - is helpful to me when presented in this fashion. Now if I can only find an FF #17 and #18....I wonder what the #17 in 9.0 will go for on Ebay. Dan
  9. Bronze Avengers fans may remember Tom Thumb, an almost pathetic character from the Squadron Supreme battles in issues #143-149 or so (1976). I remember that he and his cronies (Capt Hawk?? Amphibion?? ) fought the Beast and Hellcat in issue #148.... (pause) I just found the comic. This is classic writing (Engelhart), so I thought I'd share: Tom Thumb: "You giant fool! All my life, I've used my brain to make up for my height, but you want to feel my power, you will! You probably don't see the advantage I have in being small ---" To which the Beast, holding Tom's head at arm's length while the little guy flails away feebly with his little arms, responds: "You're right, grumpy - I don't - and by the way, who're you calling a giant??" BONK! Sighhh...they don't write dwarfs or midgets like they used to..... Dan
