Great books...where'd you get the little stands?

    Sorry, missed your post :)

My wife is a librarian, they are the stands she uses on her book displays.

I managed to...... acquire some ;)

They are just bent plastic really!

  2. None, you should never use any lighting, curtains should always be closed with blinds, you should wander round in the dark and just imagine what your comics look like :D

Personally, mine are in the spare room which is rarely used apart form me, I just use standard lighting and keep the curtains closed to avoid any direct sunlight when I am not in there.

I think reference has been made previously to that amount of time that books spend on walls at conventions without too much issue.

I am sure someone with a better answer will be along shortly...

  3. hmmm.....gaming consoles in a comic room....

I had a bit of a back cupboard find the other day which I thought I would set up, I am slowly taking over the room from SWMBO now...

My original NES, Gameboy and Sega Master System from when I was a kid, along with boxed games, guns and controllers. Just trying to get hold of a CRT to play them on now:

Which means my side of the room is looking more like this now (I have shown similar to this before in this thread):

  4. Really really impressed with Al on our recent deal, a great range of book at a great price.

As it was his first time shipping to the UK I anticipated some delays in getting it all sorted, but he was quick and good to deal with, and so very quick!

Hope to deal with again sometime,

  5. Ikea all the way - I use some of their bookshelves we freed up when we moved, and some of those library display stands for my favourite books, just my small shared corner of the room...
