  9. Here's a handful of identifying features to look for: How can I tell the difference between the First Printing and the Fire Printing? Flip the book over and look at the dates for the upcoming issues. The First printing says September/October, whereas the Fire printing was updated to October/December. It also is indicated on the information page in the indicia. The First printing of the book had page numbers. The Fire printing has a B&W copy of the cover as the final page. The margins are much wider in the Fire printing. Hope this helps!
  10. Great! Thank you! It should be a fun printed cover too. I don't think there are going to be titles on it, just a huge Skottie image:) I hope you enjoy the series! Sadly, Comixology is a garbage scam and I don't post on there anymore. They have a trade of the first 3 issues and that's it. Amazon has the first 4 books though, in print and on Kindle!
  11. I'm never not in action, I'm just slow:) My goal has always been to make the best books I can, not just rush out something on a monthly basis! Hopefully you enjoy The Vaultlands! Oh, and Books 6-7 should also be out this year, wrapping up the series.
  12. The book got some early press from the investing community after Hoknes Comics posted about it. And those true first prints are still going for solid money if you can find them(most people have the Fire Printing, which was basically a 2nd print after a fire destroyed most of the originals). The series has gotten great reviews and the fanbase is certainly growing, but sadly I'm only one person without a publisher or huge marketing budget, so it's a slow process. Hopefully the Skottie cover brings some attention:)
  13. I wish! Most people have never heard of the series. And sadly most stores don't order indie comics, let alone ones that come out on infrequent schedules and don't fit in a longbox. I'm hoping a Skottie Young cover helps sell a few more books, but I'm not expecting to see a large surge in orders. Maybe I print 2000 vs 1500 if I'm lucky? And FYI, 1500 was my print run on the last book, not how many sold through Diamond. My goal has always been to tell a great story and give it my all. Maybe when the series is complete more people will give it a try.
  14. Howdy gang! The latest volume, Farlaine the Goblin ~ Book 5: The Vaultlands, is in the March Previews this month! (Diamond Code: MAR172021) Here's a short 10-page preview if you'd like to check out the series Graphic Policy calls "the best comic I've read all week": https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/MAR172021 But what makes this exciting for the collecting community is that I managed to get a Skottie Young variant cover, which will me mixed in at a 1:3 ratio. As my fun ads like to point out, this will probably be one of the rarer Skottie variants since this is a self-published book with a tiny print run under 1500 total copies. (So maybe there will be 500 copies of this variant?) Luckily, it should also be pretty easy to attain right now - just contact your local comic shop and pre-order 3 copies of the book! Enjoy:) Main Cover: Skottie Young Variant: Fun ads:
  15. Final 48 hours of the Kickstarter! Last chance to get in on the awesome! All 7 books of the series, original art, stuffed Farlaines, 5x7 drawings, and the best dang comic book read you'll have all year!
  16. I hope so! If I could pay the bills with the work, I'd be drawing him in a monthly! Farlaine needs more people to know he exists!! Help spread the word! Face tattoos and rental zeppelins are both encouraged.
  17. The once you're done, there's always the next story! And what's to say the next story isn't even better?
  18. Thank you!!! So exciting to hit the goal the first day. I'm loving that people are digging the art! Another one just sold a minute ago. 7 gone already! The only way to get the first printing is in the Super Mega Fan reward, but that's mostly because I only have a limited amount and don't want to oversell. Assuming that reward doesn't sell out(x25) I should have copies left over at the end. On May 19th message me and we can work it out:) They're valued at $50/each. And sure, anyone could combine shipping on any pledges if they wanted to send to one location. Because of the added weight it may fall between the two shipping estimates. I'm not familiar with the KS admin system, but I assume there's a simple way to refund money for overpaid shipping.
  19. Thank you both so much!! Hope you get pages you like out of it:)
  20. Howdy gang! I'm taking a year off the day job to finish the series, Books 5-7 straight in a row. I'm mentioning this here because I'm doing a Kickstarter: http://kck.st/1qBQfJC Lotsa cool stuff in there. First printings. Stuffed Farlaines. Alternate covers by Skottie Young, Charles Paul Wilson III, Larry MacDougall. The coolest though is the ORIGINAL ART. These are the only 10 pages I've ever released from the series and only for this KS. My mom doesn't even have a page. Scans on the KS page, or a couple below for a taste. Thanks! -j https://www.dropbox.com/s/v96wrjr5xlx48vy/page31.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/9nh9oy7zm2qp5uj/page29.jpg?dl=0
  21. Thanks Dan! It's a fun new issue and people are digging it so far! The CPW3 cover is really amazing. You're gonna be blown away when you see it in person, the difference between the two. If you're gonna make it a variant, REALLY make it vary! Hope you enjoy it too Nate!
  22. Howdy gang! Diamond split-delivered the latest issue between this past Wednesday(9/23) and this coming Wednesday(9/30), so the book is officially on sale now! $5 - Farlaine the Goblin ~ Book 4: The Twistlands - 56 pages Farlaine journeys into The Twistlands, a land overrun with twisters and tornadoes of every shape and size! Not the kinda place to find a forest, but when a twister grabs his tree, Farlaine has no choice but to chase after it! You can order the book through your LCS, online sites like midtowncomics.com or direct from me at: http://www.farlaine.com/p/buy-more-copies.html (I can sign and doodle in them!) Since I know this crowd is more collectibly-minded, there is a very awesome variant cover on this book - Charles Paul Wilson III did a wonderful plush style cover of Farlaine where he even hand drew the lettering and did the water-coloring! In addition, Farlaine is normally printed with a thick glossy cardstock cover, but for this variant, we printed it with a rough unfinished felt instead, so the art just sinks in perfectly, giving it a great old school piratey feel. It's a gorgeous and unique variant cover, not your run of the mill swapped out cover. Since the book is self published, it's a small print run too. There are only about 500 of the CPW3 alternates out there. If you're into that kind of thing.
