  1. I thought that Lucas blended Jones' voice in with Christensen's if I remember correctly. Does anyone else remember hearing this back when the film was being made or just after the release?
  2. So how do you tell if a comic with double or triple covers was manufactured or not? I'm asking because I bought a double cover a few years back on eBay.
  3. That's not entirely true. Mark Hamill has stated that there was a clause in his contract for another movie.
  4. Well the lack of vision you're talking about occurred 30 years ago Although you're right. 7-9 back then would have been way better. But I don't think Lucas had even begun to think about those stories yet, whereas he was already thinking 1-3 and it still took 15 years Technology was not where it needed to be to do the large scale Lucas wanted. That's why he started in the middle of the story. The cost of costumes for a large scale army of clones etc. would have cost too much. He needed technology to catch up to his vision of what he wanted.
  5. We knew the end result to the prequels. Edit: We knew Anakin would turn to the dark side by the end of Episode 3 and become Darth Vader and what happened in episodes 4,5,& 6 Just consider it a flash back story to fill in the gaps and give a more detailed backstory. When the Han Solo movie comes out, I will be there to see HOW he gets the Millennium Falcon and becomes the space pirate/scoundrel we grew to love.
  6. Hasn't even been released yet in theaters and I'm already wanting to see the Director's cut.
  7. Was just thinking, because the "dead Bothans" lady is in the teaser. Mon Mothma? I don't think she is Bothan. He means she is the one delivering the "many bothans died..." line. Ah yes. Mon Mothma did say that in ROTJ and maybe that's why the confusion of when the story takes place.

  9. I just read your blog. One error on your part. Many Bothans died getting the plans for the second Death Star to destroy it in ROTJ, not the first for ANH. Other than that, I would agree that most long time Star Wars fans would like to see a darker movie. Edit: This story takes place just before ANH. These are the plans that Leia had and put into R2D2.
  10. Didn't see a thread started for Cloak and Dagger yet and thought it was time for it due to the show being announced. So post any comics with C&D, original art, or questions to discuss.
  11. It's going to be interesting to see how many get graded over the next several months.
  12. Just broke $2K Sheer idiocy . . . 6 days left So . . . are you the seller? Or a bidder? Neither. I wish I was the seller. I posted this auction after I saw it in the WTB thread. jreezy posted it in that thread.
  13. We know. It's been talked about here for awhile. If we know, then how come this particular book at auction is no where to be found before my post? This is the only blue label 9.8 on the census. I would imagine most collectors that have held onto this book would be interested in this auction and the sale price. As Forrest Gump would say, "Sorry I ruined your Black Panther party".
  14. This Black Panther book is getting crazy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262437905859
  15. John Carter is no more a "Marvel movie" than is Tarzan. ERB's original John Carter prose stories are over a hundred years old at this point, and both Western/Gold Key and DC published John Carter comics adaptations before Marvel. Thank you. I had no idea that DC etc. had published these stories.
  16. I saw 13th Warrior years ago when it came out on DVD. I instantly loved the film and thought it was well done. I've seen it many times. John Carter is one of the best comic movies made IMHO. I think that it's under appreciated and got snubbed because its not a main stream costumed super hero movie. When the ads came out for the film, there were no mentions of it being a comic book movie. No mention of Marvel. Huge mistake by the movie studio and a disservice to Edgar Rice Burroughs. If there was a mention/tie to Marvel I would think that more people would've seen it in theaters. Who ever decided not to have Marvel in with the film and advertisement dropped the ball. Pathfinder liked it. Kingdom of Heaven I enjoy this movie. It's on Directv and watch it here and there. To this day I have not seen all of Lone Ranger. I seem to only be able to watch a little bit of it before I lose interest. Made several attempts to watch it with my son and just cant sit through more than 15 minutes.
