  1. The amount of material here is incredible. I’m going to post pictures as we go but @Stevemmg has brought the deep well of magazines. Highlights include Vampirella 1, 5 copies of Eerie 23, multiple copies many issues. I’ll post as we go.
  2. Lots and lots of amazing material in the room. I’ll post some pics later. This really is like comic conventions used to be. Lots of great people, all fans of the material, and an incredibly deep knowledge base!
  3. Flying down tomorrow, really looking forward to this. It'll be like back in the old days working with @Stevemmg at cons!
  4. Well, FWIW, have any of you guys read new comics lately? Those things are giving young boys and girls some very bad ideas and should definitely be burned to protect our innocent children from being seduced by these awful ideas.
  5. I'm absolutely smitten with the animation style and the choice to use influences from vintage illustration artists. I think I'm more or less on the same page with you. Episode 4 was better if a bit dragged out. And for me, Episode 1 was good enough. But Episodes 2 and 3 were really contrived. Again, just my opinion.
  6. Well, I hate to be the downer on this series but I keep waiting for a good episode and it's just not happening. I think my issue is that the "What if?" questions don't seem like very good premises so they don't go anywhere. I'm not saying the original comic book series was always a homerun but many of the questions were better, IMO. For me, better premises might be: What if Captain America had saved Bucky? (or What if the Winter Soldier had never been?) What if Quicksilver had not died? What if Scott Lang never became Ant-Man? (or What if Hank Pym had become Giant-Man?) I'm not saying it's bad so far, just that I'm a bit underwhelmed. I'll keep watching through the series, hope springs eternal and all.
  7. This is awesome but I wonder how many people will understand the reference. Man, I loved that show.
  8. If still available, I require these books so that I may put them in fresh Myliite 2s and Fullbacks, organize them into the rest of my collection, and then read them at my leisure.
  9. If you're referring to the flat file in the middle, this is the modern equivalent. The one in the photo is older (I got mine from an old office I worked in when they relocated). They make smaller ones also. https://www.safcoproducts.com/products/5-drawer-steel-flat-file-for-36-x-48-documents-4998
  10. I was just having fun with you. Very cool! I have the same flat file that I use for posters and artwork.
  11. What's happening on the left side of this photograph leaves me unsettled.
  12. The Oakman always rings twice... but NOT for Nintendo Power.
  13. If I had to pick based solely on scans, I'd choose that 8.5 over the 9.8.
  14. I'd keep that puppy raw so you can enjoy the interiors in all their misplaced glory.
  15. I completely agree with this. However, as someone who draws quite a bit for my work, lightfastness has never been one of my considerations in selecting pens and other media. I'm always been focused on the drawing looking the way I want after I'm finished. Although I may look into it now that you (and @stinkininkin) mention it. But the idea of giving up my Pilot Razor Points for something else sounds awful. Man, I love those things. I'm glad you guys brought this up. I frankly never considered that some of these could fade so quickly.
