I would happily sell my mags for 1k each, Randall! What is the record price, and for which mag? Any idea?

That's a great question, Flex.  Let me look at some of my records and see if I can put forth some candidates.  It's most likely one of the Man's Story issues or a copy of New Man that has reduced circulation/availability relative to the others.

We need a road trip to Randall's house. We could "help" him find treasures.

xD  You guys would definitely load up on the best stuff.  You both have a good eye for quality material!

I am going to close this down.  I'll most likely start another thread with some Men's magazines, duplicate digests, and other fun books.

Thanks for all that purchased and looked!  I'll send PMs for totals shortly.

Guys does this Eerie # 1 look legitimate to you?

Caveat Emptor.  As I've posted before, I would be wary of purchasing any copy of that magazine without very strong provenance.  There are so many versions of that book from photocopies to copies printed at Warren to counterfeits that, without lots of experience with all versions in person, I won't pay for a copy.  Some of the most experienced dealers, that have been selling books for 40+ years, don't have confidence in identifying which is which.

    Also, I don't consider it a magazine.  2c

  5. Last but not least, I'll wrap this up with a nice selection of digests from the 1950s- Fantastic 1 and Imaginative Tales 1-3.  The cover art on these is some of the best by artists Barye Phillips and Harold McCauley.  Condition (using paperback grading, not comic grading) ranges from VG to AF and the Fantastic has minor paper loss at the bottom of the spine (common to that book and other square bound digests of the time).  All four books are $95  Sold to Tupenny Conan

  6. Weird Vol. 2 No. 2, April 1967, 9.4, Incredibly rare book in this condition.  I've never seen a better copy and I've been looking at these for a very long time.  Colors and gloss are bright and fresh.  If TATs weren't what they are, I'd get this certified before selling.  The census shows a single 9.8, single 9.4, and a single 9.2 with only 7 copies graded total.   $440
