I felt the same way in 2008. Sold my other copy of Tec 27 coverless cheap. my Cap 1 vg/f cheap 5 copy's of Fantasy 15 FF1's 4 copy's Hulk 1 few copy's cheap my Action 2 vg 7-10 cheap my other Batman 1's low grade but unrestored half of what they where worth in 2008 just to buy a house here in California. I never got the house and said that was it. I was lucky that the Restored books I had no body really wanted so i got stuck with them. Not 7 figures lost ( sorry abought that ) but a huge loss to me I am starting to try and get them back.

That's just the price some people pay when they have a lot of nice comic books

IMO I always wait till the last few 2nds to bid on high $ books (except CC auctions where you cant ) . I have a top price that that I pick and if its close I go over by how much I have drank after I get home from hard day at work as a mechanic and small shop owner IMO the bidders that really want this book wait till the last few 2nds to start the bidding like most of us do right Ok give me a He_l ya cause that's the bottom line cause Stone cold woowoo said so.

Sure, let's all play...if I was Bezos, I would buy all the copies that come to market (like Fish with Fantastic 3), but not tell anyone I was doing that and then in a few years, I would just price them all at a million per point, or two million per point, heck maybe even 3 million, cause why not? When the pictures of the collection came out the Detective 27 was not graded

I never gave X-men 1 much thought but i did buy this just to have a copy and the bid was low around 2012. I know back in the 80's UK copy's had the same or more value not sure now. I also want to say that CGC under graded this copy bad.
