Just seeing this thread as well as Bob's comment and agree big time! I picked up the 9, 12, 32, 37, 50 & 51 and they are all really sharp. Look at this one for example:

Hey Rob - thanks for that. It's a place holder until I find a nice 9.6 so I'd be happy to sell it to you then if you still need it.

Wow! Congratulations on a beautiful copy of a tough book. One of my favorite Marvel SA issues by a wide margin.
And no, I won nothing from the auction myself...
Dan
Thx Dan - much appreciated!

And... who scored in the Pedigree auction tonight? I won three, the #20, the #31 and... the #7. I'm really interested in seeing the #7 in hand as it really looks like a 9.4 to me- especially when compared to some of the other #7s out there.
The Daredevils in this auction were great, so hopefully everyone scored some beauts.
I now need 3.5 books for the full 1-157 set: #1, (.2 points on the #7 in a resub,) #66 and #86. Chapeau to whoever won the #66 today.
I picked up two DDs from the collection and for very cheap.
1) Daredevil #45 VF- 7.5 White Canarsie Collection
2) Daredevil #58 QUALIFIED NM 9.4 White Canarsie Collection (popped staple but for what I paid for it...who cares!)
Congrats on that #7!
Congrats to both of you!
Am just seeing this so thought I would volunteer that I picked two DDs as well, both from the Canarsie Collection:
1) Daredevil #22 cgc 9.6
2) Daredevil #66 cgc 9.4
I'm especially happy with the 22:

Hey Eric,
I'm late to the party here but just wanted to give you a shout out for completing your quest. It's totally AWESOME!!!
As you know I'm trying to do something similar so I can relate to just what an achievement it truly is. CONGRATS buddy!!!

although I am biased towards the early 1-13 run, I think the interior art was at it's Kirby best around issues 39-73 range...highlighted by the DD/Dr Doom issues (39-40), SS/Galactus Trilogy (48-50), all the silver/doom/black panther issues, and finally the Blastaar/sandman splash panels in issues 61-63 were pretty good. My two cents. Here's a question for the FF junkies; We often discuss great FF stories, but which era of Fantastic Four do you think had the best art?Be as specific as you want. If you think the art hit an unequaled high point in a single issue, then go with it!
I like this post too and agree with much of it. That said, I just looked over the scans for many of my covers and find it hard to be more specific than #'s 35 through 95. They're all so good!

While I agree that the early Kirby/Stone work may not be as detailed as the later stuff, I still love the art from the '63-'65 formative period. Who else but Kirby was doing two page splashes, photomontages, and the most incredible machines and alien creatures in the history of the medium to that point? FF Annual 1, for instance, has some gorgeous work:
Good point and a great example. Thanks for the post!

Mike I hope somebody can help you out my man
Thx Eric. Yeah frankly anything 9.2 or better would do the trick for now btw...

Does anyone on this thread know where I can find a DD #5 in cgc 9.6 or 9.8?
I agreed to trade my 9.6 for some tougher later numbers and want to fill the whole is all.
Pls lmk by PM or email me at popester66@gmail.com. Thx!
