  1. Being the seller of the Archie comics 1 ... you may give her my email also so she can contact me if interested . dave@davescomics.com
  2. Gary, if you only knew how much I want to keep that book but with the wildly_fanciful_statement I am getting from the insurance company and the timing of everything else. It would have been a perfect storm financially if I had not acted. Maybe, you will come up with another one to sell me at 700.00 or so . How are things with the shops and businesses in your neck of the woods? We are down about 9-11% for the year from last year, which compared to last year is not so great.
  3. That is what I am hoping. I am getting teardrops forming in my eyes as I was really hoping that this book would be around in my hands for many more years..... but that is what life throws you sometimes. What do you guys really expect it to go for considering it is THE best book out there and it is much rarer than Superman #1 or Batman #1?
  4. Yes, the Archie #1, 3, & 4 had to go ..... between lousy business , flooding in our warehouse (71 boxes of vintage batman toys), we are insured but they have been dragging their feet for some unknown reason, and a kidney stone the size of a piece of krytonite, this week has not been the greatest. I REALLY hated to sell it Gary. It was sent in for grading and you will be happy to know that it received a 7.0 the finest copy out there ...... and for a time, you, GaryColobuono, and I had owned a piece of history. I am also selling it because Archie has made the wrong marital choice. He should have chosen BETTY!!!!!!!
  5. The really sad thing is that Diamond still does this with comics today. If you are shipped damaged comics and it is under 50.00 diamond tells you to destroy them. I have tried to give coverless comics to a kid today and they just do not want it. The love for a free comic albeit less than perfect, is not in the hearts of today's kids...... and THAT is what is wrong with the hobby today. We have a policy of giving an old comic to kids on their first time into our store that is older than they are and they are in awe that you give them a comic that is from the 1990's or even the eighties or seventies. It is really funny to watch. Try it sometime and you might ignite a new collector.
  6. Is Terrytoons #1 (Timely) in anyone's collection..... and if so how hard is it to get???
  7.
