  1. Ya, back pack, with some cardboard so I'm less paranoid about bending them
  2. I'll do these at 15% off and that'll top off my stack. Avengers #225 9.6/9.8, #226 9.6/9.8 $16
  3. Got my comic lickety split, packaged well and as described. I was excited to get this Brave & The Bold grey tone..been looking for a nice mid-grade copy for a while. Thanks a ton!
  4. I gave it 12 minutes before bailing, and yep, this is a fair take.
  5. You're not the only person to report this problem. You should reach out to Brittany for assistance.
  6. Well, I had in mind eBay auctions, not BINs. I've seen many auctions of hot books with lots of pictures but no grade. If that comment pisses people off, that's fine. I've had no problems selling books, and if I run off a few cantankerous buyers, good.
  7. In fairness, I imagine some of them are just trying to avoid complaints about the grading as a reason for a return. I have had only one return on ebay for grading, but even so, I use this disclaimer: "I grade this comic as a NM-. Please see the scans and pictures to make your own best judgment as to grade. I'm not a professional grader, and I'm guessing that you aren't either. While I try to be consistent and accurate, my grading is ultimately subjective, as is anyone else's. Regardless, I do accept returns." I've seen plenty of dealers at shows that put only prices and not grades on books.
  8. And Marvel sales reached a level they haven’t seen in about a decade. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/05/10/immortal-hulk-outsells-batman/ The April 2019 Diamond Comic Distributor stats are out, and they make rather interesting reading. As well as Marvel Comics getting a 50% unit share, Immortal Hulk #16 had higher orders than Batman #68 and #69. Since the New 52 reboot/relaunch, the twice-monthly Batman comic book as been the old reliable at DC Comics, constantly topping the charts, only beaten by the occasional first issue launch, event comics mini-series like Secret Empire, Metal or The Batman Who Laughs. For a regular issue of an ongoing series to top Batman is unheard of. Until Immortal Hulk.
  9. I like the new Conan The Barbarian. But that’s the only Marvel title I buy new. It’s not because I find other titles lacking; I just spend so much on “vintage” that I allow myself just three or four new titles.
  10. I will be on vacation and with poor internet access. So yes, you can help my marriage by doing this on June 21.

  12. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/10/arts/design/marvel-comics-1000.html Marvel Comics turns 80 in August. To celebrate, the company is releasing Marvel Comics No. 1000, which follows its heroes from Day 1 in 1939, long before they became the global entertainment phenomenon they are today. Each page of the comic will correlate to one year in Marvel history. Along the way, readers will see many of the marquee characters from the mighty Marvel universe like Captain America, Thor and Iron Man, and some less familiar ones, like Blue Marvel, Night Thrasher and the Three X’s.
  13. Been looking for one in this grade for a while for my grey tone collection.
  14. as I assume staples are not rusty since you mention that for other books?
  15. Hit that dab. Sweet books, really cool to see these. Thanks for offering them here.
  16. After I had rusty staples snap and a centerfold flop out on an Ekgren book, I've developed a distaste for all things rust. Rust only begets more rust. And thanks, everyone.
  17. Oh man, not an october thread. I don't have anything left to sell that anybody wants. I'm pursuing cheaper stuff, but do you know how hard it is to find another schmo like me who will buy this when I need to raise funds for more goodies?
  18. The one staple has less of that orangey corruscated look than the other. Inside the comic, the staples are clean at the centerfold. Also, I do not like rust.
