  1. My example was for something from fcbd. I couldn't make it to my lcs, so I turned to eBay. And this seller couldn't even bag and board something they got for free.
  2. This. I’ve started negging sellers on eBay for this. I got one recently loose in a mailer, no bag, no board.
  3. Shootydog hooked me up with a couple of clothbound library editions of Hellboy, vol 1 and 2. Packaged well, good communication, books in great shape, all around good transaction. Thanks!
  4. Was it here that someone asked about the promo link you get after making a listing, that lets you avoid the final cost fee? You can revise your listing to get that link again.
  5. Power of the Dark Crystal, issues 1-12 SOLD Marvel Super Heroes WInter Special 1991, First Squirrel Girl SOLD American Gods, 1-9 lot

  7. I do buy these, and it's often because it's easier to read, easier to store, let's me not hunt down the first few issues of a series or story line that I missed. But myself, I generally sell them at some steep discount, like used reading material. But yeah, I'm happy with to each his own when it comes to collecting. Collect whatever you want, as long as it's not, you know, mementoes of a serial killer or some such.
  8. Part of my observation and question is people saying, “Look at my comic collection,” and then showing their tpb collection. I see that repeatedly, and that I find especially confusing,
  9. I bought an Amazing Adventures #1 and had an all-around great transaction. And stellar packaging to boot!
  10. And is that a leap year date stamp on the doctor strange? Looks like it might read Feb 29?
  11. Wishing your family all the best dealing with that.
  12. Like the others, I was really happy with the grading. I either agreed with the grade and thought a book or two was undergraded by a half point. Good pricing, good packaging, good communication. I look forward to another sales thread from Phil.
  13. What would you recommend for a good read? I'm not very current to be honest. I buy a few new titles, but I can't speak knowledgeably about a great many current artists. But I think I could get into this guy from what little I've seen.
  14. So I'm curious about this topic. Personally, I do not collect these. But I like to lurk on Reddit and have been surprised at the number of posts where someone shares a picture of their "collection." Here is someone's "humble comic collection": And this isn't really uncommon. A lot of people seem to buy tpbs and consider these their collection. Now, I don't see these having value. And yeah, you can "collect" anything you want. But I still find it strange that people consider themselves comic collectors when they collect tpbs. I don't like the pretentiousness of collectors who frown on other collectors' habits, but still, this is just weird. I guess to each their own, but I'm curious what others think.
  15. Found this on Reddit. Here's a Cable I could get into. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/8o0kpc/if_jack_kirby_drew_cable_it_would_look_like_this/ Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/8o0kpc/if_jack_kirby_drew_cable_it_would_look_like_this/
  16. More stuff added! Still trade paperbacks. Thanks for looking. https://www.ebay.com/usr/brother17
  17. I guess the boards have an advertising arrangement with them and are now autolinking 3bay when it's typed. I don't like it.
  18. I'm slowly getting things listed there. Mostly some TPBs right now. Take a look! https://www.ebay.com/str/heroesasylum
  19. Congrats and best of luck! You might consider posting on the Comics Market board when you want to promote things, too. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/19-comics-market-sales-advertising-ebay-dealers-etc/
  20. You know, I haven't read much of the Spectre. I've always been intrigued by him but don't know much about it. What's your take on him here?
