  1. Well, I'm glad I saw those Hawkeyes before it went poof! And sorry to see all your work gone.
  2. Yeah, I would like 158 as well, but it's so pricey for a far less interesting cover and story.
  3. Not sure how many transactions I've had with Randall, but I'm always happy to do business with him. Super nice boardie, easy to communicate with, all that good stuff. (thumbs u
  4. We picked up a Strange Tales slab from me. Couldn't have gone smoother. Thank you, sir.
  5. Big thanks to skypinkblu for selling me my first 10¢ comic, the All Winner #17 that you see below. It's a beaut, and despite how dirty some of our heroes are fighting, I love my first ever Schomburg cover. I also picked up this DD 168. I hope that snagging it just before the latest Elektra rumors hit the 'net pays off, not because I plan to sell it, but because I didn't want to end up paying more in the future for the same comic. Now I have to lay off the sauce for a bit, and hope some CLInk auctions go well as I can't continue spending bigger ticket comics. Instead, I'll focus on my Byrne FF run, and plugging my Miller DD run for issues that aren't riding the top of a television Bubble, and at a slower pace. Anyhow, here they are. My last two lovelies for a while.
  6. Sharon sold me a blue slab copy of All-Winners 17, and I couldn't be happier. It's the first 10 cent comic that I've owned, and it's a beaut. Thanks so much, Sharon, and spending my cash!
  7. Rob bought two slabs from me recently. He's as pleasant as they come and easy to work with. I'd be happy to transact with him again.
  8. Wally Wood's estate pulling a Kirby? Article on Bleeding Cool
  9. Meeklo sent me some comics all wrapped up tight and graded just like he said. Thanks!
  10. This statement is getting at the crux of the problem. This selling space operates uniquely, at least compared to any other online selling venue that I've used. Selling and buying is a very personal matter, between two people, and when money is involved, no matter the love of the hobby, people are on their guard. But we do so in a loosely regulated, supposedly self-regulated manner with no set of rules. We've all agreed, at least implicitly by participation within what guidelines do exist, if not explicitly, to abide by community norms, but as we're something of a roughshod democracy (prepares for flak), that gets messy. Anyhow, my , which is worth exactly as much as all advice is worth: exactly what you paid for it.
  11. 30 days is much too long. Life happens, but if something needs that long to resolve, then it's best to cancel the transaction for all parties anyhow. Drop it two weeks from date of transaction agreement.
  12. Anyone who's dealt with Spidey-Fein knows that he's one of the good guys. Asking for proof isn't unwarranted, but the skeptical, not to mention condescending, tone of those requests isn't merited, not towards him. Some unscrupulous sellers and buyers invite a bit of derisiveness, but that's certainly not the case with this boardie.
  13. Board rules state 30 days to conclude a transaction. Did you include any language in your listing to the effect of "Payment expected within X days"?
  14. I think it's time for a boobies meme. Someone must want to do a boobie meme.
  15. I find your ideas intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. No words though, only pictures. I'm not sure if it would go over well. I'm all for boobies. For our female boardies, should we also discuss abs?
  16. Whoa, no kidding. Now if Evil Knievel came with that windup toy bike I remember as a kid, I'd be awful tempted.
  17. Transplant didn't create the problem. He just felt inclined to raise it again. Not sure what was achieved with that. I don't have a dog in the fight and am not interested in picking sides, but whatever coals were left to cool just got fanned by him. Anyhow, not my issue in the end, so peace out to both folks.
  18. If you're talking about showing some grace, Transplant, with whom I have no beef, didn't exactly display much grace when he raised this specter. But it seems Dan is target of any judgment. Seems a bit imbalanced in the context of this string of posts.
  19. goldie is overdue for some kudos! I bought a raw FF 67, making for my third copy of this important comic. Good communication, good packaging, good stuff all around. (thumbs u
  20. A boardie sold that Hulk 180. In another thread, someone noted a 10k sale of another 9.8 copy in 2010, but otherwise nothing close.
  21. Dave picked up a Conan #1 CGC 7.0 from me recently, and things went as smooth as puddin'. Thanks for the purchase and enjoy the book.
