  1. Well, dangit. I typed up a nice long response, and then clicked some weird keystroke combination which lost it. Short version: Patrick sold me a Strange Tales 135 and 140. He has a discerning eye for sharp comics and packs his comics very well, ships them fast, and stays in communication throughout. I've bought from him several times now, and my only beef with him is that I keep sending him money. But hey, he gets me sweet comics in return, so I guess I can live with it. Thanks, sir!
  2. With my scanner on the fritz and curious to see the quality of their pics, I had my last batch of four comics image, or at least I paid for it. Now that I've received notice of shipment and can view the grades online, I don't see where to find the images. Am I overlooking something? I figure someone else out there must have ponied up at least once for images and knows how this goes. Thanks in advance.
  3. I loved Dreadstar, curious to see what they do with the tv show. That's exciting news to me. Not going hunting for those comics, but would enjoy reading a reprint of them,
  4. Thanks to all you boardies who pay promptly. For the third batch of ebay auctions in a row, all of my buyers, with one happy exception, are tardy payers. They're there to snipe at the last minute, and then they disappear to get allowance from mommy, I guess. Boardies here pay either right away or within reasonable time.
  5. Damn these Canadians. They are such fine buyers. It almost makes you want to get over selling only to the United States. This Canadian by the name of Finhead bought some FFs from me, paid super fast, was super nice throughout, was super about staying in contact, and was just super super all the way around. All that said, I still think Canadians have something wrong about the way they wear their sweaters, but this one is great for comics transactions. (thumbs u Thanks, sir, for a great transaction. See you on the boards.
  6. So Roy's thread somehow turns into a krapping. Sure uchicha makes a lot of, what seems to me, dim-witted posts but piling on about the post or piling on the posts about the posts is just muddying Roy's sales thread.
  7. I'm still a relative noobie, but it seems like they always come back. He's another that needs to pack up and move on.
  8. Sold a few raw books to 1Cool, a smooth transaction as always.
  9. Bought a beauty from Andy, Thor 154.So nice... Thanks!
  10. Easy to deal with, good communication, paid straight away. Thanks for picking up the first Cloak and Dagger--enjoy!
  11. Robert gives Canadian's a good name. He's as good to deal with as all these 12 pages of kudos suggest. Thanks for the Wonder Woman comic, the safe packaging, and the fast shipping. Thanks!
  12. I think it's fair game. How do you control something like that? Some people deal full time, some deal part time, some of us just sell as part of the hobby with an eye towards the occasional flip. In a small sales thread, nobody would notice or care. In a large one with several desirable books, suddenly it's an issue.
  13. Couldn't ask for an easier transaction. The kind of person who makes doing business on the boards a great experience. Thanks!
  14. I dig anniversary issues and TF set me up with an accurately graded ASM 100. I'd be happy to transact with him again. (thumbs u
  15. Good communication, fast shipment, all around great seller who got me a nice JIM 111. (thumbs u
  16. Nice to know. I have a few laying around as well. Ya, I saw a 9.0 slab for a surprisingly high price, so I sold my raw and got a decent penny for it. Don't have stacks of them like you gents, though.
  17. I would not be confident that everybody is as experienced in pressing potential as some might be. I might also suggest that it is no more micromanaging a sales thread to insist on describing what is actually there as it is to demand methods of payment to be posted. Then who gets to be that arbiter? Who's the 'your statement about pressing is accurate' judge? Caveat emptor, that's a paramount concept in any market. If people don't like those statements, they can stay away from someone's sales.
  18. If it's clear to you, do you think it's not clear to others? Micromanaging sales threads, however incompetently run, isn't a good idea.
  19. I feel two ways about it. I generally dislike it, but like crassus said, any buyer should use their judgment. In my current sales thread, I made statements to this effect on a couple of comics as I actually believe it to be true. Some folks like to know the "pressing potential' of books. Some don't. To each his own. I think in general, people should be left to run their sales threads as they see fit, within the boundaries of the system as is.
  20. He's been patched over to the Nomads. British Columbia, my guess. I hear they have the best smoke.
