  5. Okay, I will start momentarily. I only have time to snap quick photos and attach prices. I am trying to sell these at nice discounts as I know these are the kind of books that go to collectors and not dealers. And collectors deserve some sweet discounts, too.
  6. Blazing Combat #3 and 4, both F/VF, now $35 Super DC Giant Kubert western pair, now $115 (even a weak auction would cost more for these) I will start selling some DC War in about 30m, mostly SA, but some BA, too.
  7. I need to stop for lunch and, uh, actual work. I will follow up in 2 or 3 hours. I'll post before I start listing and provide a more precise time frame. Thanks to those who purchased and to the folks saying howdy.
  8. I do have several magazines, most of which came from that magazine maniac stevemmg, but I won't bother listing them if nobody is interested.
  9. Lot. $140 $115 for both. That's a steal for these. REMOVED FROM SALE - THEY CRACK ME UP EVERY TIME!
  10. $90 but on hold for the moment, you can claim next in line SOLD! I think the pages are OW despite the label.
  11. I can add scans later, but since some of us apparently have nothing better to do, here come some quickies. (And no, I don't mean Zoomin' with Toobin).
  12. Now, I want to talk about my childhood collection, and how I got started. You see, it began in 5th grade....
  13. Okay, first listing is up. A confluence of events, some long-term and some more immediate (I'm talking to you, pandemic), have taught me that I want a more constrained, curated life. I think we collectors share something in common that can oft go overlooked. We have appetites. Strong appetites. We can gorge on one title with over 400 issues spanning the different era, or pursue a character or super-team across decades and titles that would exhaust even the deepest pockets. We build databases for our collections, web tools that preserve digital copies of comics up to 80 or more years old. We research archival solutions, teach ourselves amateur restor, uh I mean, dedicate a portion of our home and cash to it. I know many of you have other appetites, from cigars to wine to lurid accounts of moose copulation. For me, my appetite most expresses itself in collecting comics. But until all the kids starting playing the game I've worked on for the last three years, my wife finally earns a salary commensurate with her level of education, and, oh I dunno, the pandemic ends, things ain't gonna change for a while. So I want to tailor my appetite for comics and build a more curated and intentional collection. So what does that mean for this thread? I guess we will see what I list. I'm working through boxes and updating a database in clz. Cheers, stay safe, mask up, yo.
  14. Flash Comics #94, CGC 6.0 with WHITE pages, $450 SOLD! Do you like Hawkman? Do you like Kubert? Do you like Hawkman by Kubert? Do you like Westerns? Do you like Flash? Do you like Golden Age? Do you like GA Flash Comics with Hawkman covers? Do you like GA DC Westerns? Oh...you do. Well, have I got a treat for you. The pic taken on top of the book pile was just to show it in a different light. The counter-top photos make the blues look a bit deeper than they are. Click any image to enlarge it.
