  1. Okay, I need to take a break. I'll wrap up later. This won't be a lengthy thread, but I should have a few more items to put up. Thanks, all.
  2. SOLD! Battle 34, 2.5, $20 What can I say about this low grade love nugget? It's got wrinkles, short creases, long creases, spine wear, smudges, chips out, edge staining, and cream to off-white interiors. It's beat, it's complete, and it's structurally better than the last one above. Will it give you satisfaction? I dunno. Do you love comics? Do you think ALL comics deserve to be loved? Do you think these two dudes look pretty cool?
  3. SOLD! Battle-Ground #3, 3.0, $30 Another classic Heath cover. You know that saying, "Looks can be deceiving"? Welll, wait until you get a load of the spine. There's a 2" split at the bottom. The staples are hanging in there despite separating on the back cover. You know the type: nice colors, leave in the mylar, handle with care.
  4. All-American Men of War #94, 5.0, $18 An oft-repeated mid-air scene, few did it as well as Russ Heath. A classic cover with Kanigher writing and editing inside. If you dig Big 5 war now and then and don't have a copy, you'll be pleased with this one. Actually, I just want to sell it. So there it is. But it, maybe?
  5. Take I'd you have the b, c, d, e, or f cover variants, let me know.
  6. Alright, off to get the kid to sleep. I hope. Pray for me. Thanks for looking and for the purchases!
  7. SOLD! Battle Action #15, 4.0, cover loose on staples but clinging to life, see back cover at staples, you can overlook the creases on the front if you let your eyes get lost in all that rich color. Check out the flag up there. This comic will pimp your collection. $40 ON HOLD but you can take it pending. If I don't hear from someone by midnight EST, book is off hold.
  8. SOLD! Battle Action #13, 3.0, a bad curl on the bottom outer corner, bad creasing on back cover, this one got jammed from the bottom somehow, my wife says "oh, that one looks nice in mylar" and she also says "don't jam it from the bottom!" $15
  9. That's it for the moment. I'll likely add some later this evening or sometime tomorrow.
  10. SOLD! Rangers 69, 5.0, $50 Chipping bottom edge. Priced like the 6.0 earlier because the reds and oranges are just that good.
  11. SOLD! Rangers #66, 7.0, $80 Nice yellows, despite the sun shadow you see on the top.
  12. SOLD! Rangers 68, 6.5, $50 Quite nice colors on the cover, especially when you consider the browning you see along the spine.
  13. The kind with no debt, not enough savings, and too many comics. Here's a story. "Hey man, debt or no debt?" the stranger asked me. "Uh, no debt. Thanks for asking," I said. "But have your ever seen one of these?" he said with a flourish. As the words left his lips, he swept open his trench coat. I braced for the worst but couldn't turn my eyes away, and then I saw it. It practically shined from the shadows of his trenchcoat. I had been looking for a nice-presenting, slabbed, mid-grade copy of Mister Chisel #3 to complete my Rex Rexvesterson cover collection. And there it was, with this stranger. "I do take credit cards," he said.
  14. I'm not bidding in this one. Well, I'm not bidding any more in this one. I just sent a check to pay for my thrill-bid surprise win from last time.
  15. In my case, I felt like I'd be haggling down to what should have been the starting price.
