  1. Uh, dude. You're like that guy at the office who hoards all the inter-office envelopes. The front desk is looking furiously for some inter-office envelopes, as they have an urgent memo to distribute, but the front desk can't find any. Why? Because porcupine48 has a drawer full to bursting with inter-office envelopes that he won't release into the office memo flow ecosystem. Bad porcupine, bad jimmers. Send us your hidden treasures, your LPs, your pre-code majesties, your beat up copy of X-Force 1 that you don't want other collectors to know about, send us those.
  2. I've got names for my two fictitious stores: The Heroes Asylum and Last Gasp Comic Shop. Now I just need a visual concept and art. What's your rate?
  3. If your audience is comprised largely of native English speakers, this name is uninspiring and a bit confusing. Is this an online store or a brick and mortar shop?
  4. What size? I tried those and found them to small before gold/silver Gerbers
  5. Okay, wow I did not read the original info completely. That's cray cray. Why would they do something that, in my opinion, devalues their services as a whole? Is a company willing to give grade opinions in such a slap dash way an entity that I trust for other services?
  6. And does running out of cardboard mean that I'm buying too little? selling too much? or selling too much to compensate for buying too much?
  7. The next time you need packing materials, order a long-handled garden tool from Amazon.
  8. I wonder if this is a window into how long is typically spent grading a book. It's in their interest to go fast, but they sacrifice accuracy and thoroughness. Maybe this is the best they can offer knowing they will spend x minutes on a comic, allowing room on the grade range for overlooked problems.
  9. I kept editing my title for my latest sales thread. I tried to make it stiff and formal, almost awkward. And hey, I sold about a grand.
  10. Sometimes I do dramatic readings of sales thread titles. My wife doesn't appreciate it, so I encourage you gonna to try it out yourself. Makes sure to read them aloud, dramatically.
  11. Okay, I'm at my dollar goal (thanks, Sean!). So I'm not going to list anymore. If that changes, I'll start a new thread as there has been a lot of interest in that book. It's like a 4.0, looks nice, but in hand you will see the creasing.
  12. I'm really torn over it. It has a lot of creasing, and I think a press would really improve it. I love that cover and sold a copy once before, wishing ever since that I had kept it. This one would press up and slab nicely, I think, and I might just do it.
  13. Yeah, that would be really dumb. Doing a true sale is a piece of work. CGC allows this because ultimately it benefits them and keeps the community happy (and active). But if someone like you wants to sell 200 books, you plan for that, and set aside time for that, and ignore your wife and children for a period of time. Making someone stretch that over a longer period because of an arbitrary rule is silly. A better rule to change is books on other venues. I'll start a thread for it.
  14. Discounts for these books! I'm probably done, but maybe I will put up more, but only if more stuff sales. And if I feel like it. And if I don't decide to put them on ebay and forget you guys! Yeah, that's right! I might just take them somewhere else, where people appreciate my books, people with taste! (Just for clarity, . I get a gas when people say "I might list more, dunno, we'll see how these do." Well, sell some shnizzle if you want some grizzle, or don't! Anyhow, buy these please. Two-Fisted Tales #38, 6.0, $55 $48 Frontline Combat #10, 5.0, $45 $39 All-American Men of War #72, CGC 6.0, COW, $40 (free shipping if you buy both slabs) All-American Men of War #41, CGC 5.5, OW, $50 (free shipping if you buy both slabs) War 36, 4.5, $43 $38
  15. I'm going to pause here, primarily because I have vaped too much cannabis oil. Thanks for checking in, all.
  16. War 36, 4.5, $43 Heath-c. Have you ever held a comic, looked at the cover and thought, "Hmm, why is this a VG+? Looks nicer," only to flip it over and think to yourself, "Oh...oh my."
