I recently was able to complete a personal goal of collecting all the original TMNT oversize books in 9.8. It was quite an endeavour. This might be the first time that they have all been pictured together in 9.8 goodness:

I've been collecting turtles books for over 8 years now, but due to hardships (which keep coming still, full force) I had to part with almost every book that I cared about. Here are a few mostly that I've had for years, that I finally got signed.

 

You've seen this already, second print 9.8 that I paid an arm and a pelvis for years ago, which came back 9.8:

 

 

I just really love this book, not matter what printing, I can stare at it all day. Third print:

 

 

I sent this in to PeasOfCrap, another cracked 9.8, which came back the same, really proud to have a signed first print #2:

Now... this is my holy grail, I've waited over 6 years for one. At one time I might have killed (a bug or something) for it. I've tried SOOOOOOOOOOO hard to get this book.... that it made me not ever want to collect books any more.

 

I am sorry to all the people on this forum I begged to help me get this book. I offered over a thousand dollars for it, and probably would have went higher. Don't ask me why I wanted it so bad, because I don't really know, other than it's been impossible for me get. So I bought a bunch that looked "iffy" to me. Some of those "iffy" ones came back and now I am content with not just one, but three Counterfeit #2's:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And you've all seen this sucker before, nothing special, but I hope you know how to tell one by sight. My dummass bought raw turtles FULL PRICE and ended up with a fake. Counterfeit #1's:

 

 

 

 

 

Some of you have said you don't like the sigs, but for me I just think the yellow label looks "juicy" and makes my mouth water.

Just got this in from eBay. It was sold by KevinEastmanStudios so I would assume it's from Kevin's collection. The book is gorgeous and presents MUCH better than a 7.5 and honestly could be pressed to a 8.5 or so I think. The kicker is, it came with an envelope that had a letter from Kevin, several photo copies of different covers(first turtle, first poster, etc...) and the last was a photo copy of the first cover signed by Kevin. Guys, I'll tell ya, I've met a lot of artists. I have yet to meet Kevin but this guy is the best/friendliest in the business based on this one act. I'm beyond stoked to have this in my collection and will treasure the papers with it forever.

Just got lost a bid on eBay for a complete run of TMNT vol 3. I am not happy right now. Five little dollars...

 

When something like this happens to me, I tell myself that the winning bidder had a max bid that was MUCH higher than mine and that it really wasn't close at all. It tends to make me feel better.

Took my daughter to see the TMNT movie. I have to say it wasn't that bad. Even though they didn't follow the old story line I thought it was pretty cool. I give it a thumbs up.

I just love the covers of that run! Are you getting them graded or getting a raw full set?

I bought #'s 29 and 30 graded (because they had Laird head sketches). But I am most likely gonna keep the rest of the issues raw with the exception of 32. I might get that graded cause I have 2 copies.

In honor of the new movie coming out tonight, I figured I'd post a couple of TMNT movie related comics of the past. I'm a little surprised that there haven't been more TMNT 2014 movie-related comics out there ahead of the movie. Each of the other movies had comics to go along with the movie.

I just got this for a whopping $8. Based off eBay prices I think I did alright. Looks like a 9.4/9.6.

I traded my Signed & Sketched 9.6, with cash and four various slabs for this Signed 9.8.

I'm happy & the seller is happy……and this book and I lived happily ever after
