  1. Totally agree with you in regards to a resubmit. I would never crack this slab myself. I would want CGC to see the prior grade. Maybe one day I’ll gather up the courage to do it, hahaha.
  2. I think my Primer 2 could press out to a 9.8. Grendel 1-3 are solid 9.6’s but not 9.8’s. The only issue with Primer 2 is one tiny spine tick and a that just barely breaks color and a “wrinkle” on the top right corner on the back. I have seen this same defect at the same spot on other 9.8’s. But Im really hesitant to crack the case and resubmit. I’d give it a 50/50 chance of an upgrade.
  3. No you haven’t. When you own a white page 9.8 set you can post as many times as you want on here. As long as you keep posting pics of said set…
  4. For me the hardest book to find with white pages was #1. I managed to get Primer 2 and Grendel 2, 3 within a month; #1 took me almost a year and half to find. I agree, now is the time to buy.
  5. Please dont re-slab Primer 2. Im partial to the old label goodness.
  6. Considering how hard it is to get 9.8’s with white pages I would say 15-18k for the set is about right. I put a lot of stock in white page copies. COMICMYLARS’ asking price is just too much in my opinion (due to page quality). He has notoriously high asking prices anyway. I look at Grendel like TMNT. Everyone wants a copy of TMNT 1 first printing just like Primer 2. The other issues aren’t as “mainstream”. Those are for the true fans of the series. I agree that a 9.6 set can be found for 3k or less. Again, the tricky part is finding white page copies. Beautiful set BTW, congrats!
  7. I agree. It isn't Punisher Soviet but I have no complaints.
  8. Based on what I have been posting lately I collect the stuff no one cares about, hahaha. Regardless here’s my latest.
  9. I’d pay a little more for a red label book. I don’t re-slab books unless the there is damage. For me it’s like preserving history.
  10. Maybe it’s just me but the corners don’t look that sharp. Also is that a spine tick to the left of the black arrow “He’s here….”?
  11. I got a few of the old labels blue and red. Unless the cases crack I wont reholder them.
  12. The only newsstand books I actively collect is the 1986 Punisher Limited Series in 9.8. Outside of that if I could care less.
  13. You’re most welcome. Keep in mind I am no expert, @F For Fakeis really the “go to man” in regards to Aliens comics. My focus is on late copper and early modern.
  14. @Beige This is correct, unless they made a comic adaptation of the AvP movie which I do not believe was made.
  15. @BeigeFirst appearances in comics of the 1986 Aliens movie characters. This list disregards Alien movie adaptation, Heavy Metal magazine, Aliens 3 and the retcon of Dark Horse continuity in the early to mid 90’s after the release of Aliens 3. Aliens 1 (1988); Hicks and Newt also Hudson, Crowe, Frost, Drake and Vasquez in a dream sequence (I wouldn’t consider this a first appearance). This book pre dates Dark Horse Presents 24 (origin of the Aliens). Aliens (1989) 4; Ripley in cameo last page Aliens Earth War 1; Ripley full appearance and intro into Dark Horse continuity. Newts Tale 1; Gorman, Vasquez, Hudson, Dietrich, Apone, Frost, Weirzbowski, Drake, Burke Newts Tale 2; Bishop (Android) Ferro and Spunkmeyer are never seen (this storyline was told from Newts POV). All you see is their death in the Dropship crash after the initial fight in the hive. The only 2 books that have these annotations by CGC are the first appearance of Hicks and Newts in Aliens 1 (1988) and Lt. Ripley in cameo on last page in Aliens 4 (1989). If you got to the registry and look at my Aliens, Predator, Terminator and AVP (Dark Horse 1988-1992) set “The BIG 3 plus a mash up” you’ll find a fairly detailed compilation of all early key appearances, deaths and events. I hope this answered your question.
  16. Please add the following books to this set: SET: ROBOTECH (Comico) BOOKS: Robotech: The Masters 2-23 Robotech: The New Generation 2-25 Robotech Special *I do not have cert numbers for these books but some have been graded. Thank you P Slots added per request 1/16/22
