  1. I used to have well over 25 copies of this book (Being my favorite character) years ago I just purchased it when ever I saw it and it was mostly in the $1 boxes . I gave some away to people over the years , my sons friends etc .And when I sold some comics years ago i would sometimes throw this in as a freebie. Probably still have like 7 or so left somewhere in the box I left at my parents house . I never thought I would see this book become hot.

  2. Wow to throw in the middle of a Looooong story that this is a reprint is horrible to do to someone. This might be the worst case of fraud in reference to a reprint I have seen, No one is going to read that long story and see that. $3K so far for a $10 book,

  3. I have to Agree , this was my favorite book to read and re-read. I only have 2-3 comic books from when I was a kid (35 years ago) and this is one of them. If the Guardians of the Galaxy movie takes off and the kids like a talking tree and a raccoon this book will be a steal at the prices its at today. Its impossible to get a TTA13 since they are extremely rare so you can buy Groots first bronze age app. Sort of like buying Avengers 4 which is cap's first Silver age app after all those years (And no I am not comparing Groot and Cap, just the thought process) I see on ebay folks paying more for Where Monsters Dwell 6 on Ebay but this is the Groot book to own and with a great story.

  4. New purchase!! Woohoo!! I am in the club! I usually like to think my comics are better than the grade, but I fear this one may be slightly overgraded. I am ok with it, as its a great book, but its not as sharp as some of the other 5.0s out there. It is well centered, lays flat, and not a single cover crease other than a very light corner crease, but the spine has some significant wear, and even a few small tears. thoughts?

Awesome copy and Congrats! Welcome to the club.

  5. Dont tell her . JK. I purchased this like 6 years ago for $250 and after I purchased it I was laid off from my job (Before I even got it in the mail) so decided not to tell my wife until I found a job. Found a job like 8 months later and by then I had just forgotten. But a 10K Purchase might be different.
