  1. It seems to be. The thing I don't get is that I don't need the money immediately but everyone should pay within two days. However, if you are negotiating price back and forth you should also be able to pay that quickly.
  2. A very common message that does nothing in determining my acceptance: "If you accept I will pay immediately."
  3. It was posted on Bleeding Cool on Monday along with retailer insider group(s).
  4. I guess you are naive then. People don't spend time and money to create a chat forum that has $0 membership fee and not have an ulterior motive. Do you think all the changes to the board were also done free of charge?
  5. Star Wars #107. Half a million? Uhhh, no way. It will be between 50,000 - 65,000 as far as we will ever know is my guess.
  6. You don't get any emails from CGC? None about registry set awards, new character labels, when and where their graded books will be sold at auction houses, etc... Do you just get the ones about grading concert posters then?
  7. “...monetizing their sites...” That is the exact reason for this forum. Their are selling a service. You can’t be this naive.
  8. That's a terrible false equivalency, but I will bit because indeed stadiums / arenas are not created solely as a sports venue. They would not be profitable if they were. Hmm...did someone say profit on a board that grades comic books? 1. I posted 5 threads that were simply from the first two pages of the Modern's section. Not the entire board, not the entire section, two pages. There are many that come on here to simply look at those type of threads. 2. Take a look at the latest posts which are cross-posted in the Pre-Heat Speculation Thread - Get it before it gets HOT thread. 3. Pretty much any "spec site", as they are lumped under one blanket, report current market trends, not solely speculation. That is part of the appeal and what many new to the market of selling now think is speculation. In general "spec sites" as they are referred to are very similar in nature to the status of all comic book social media sites. They post news on current stories and trending topics in the comic book realm. Since the demise of Google +, the more popular and heavily moderated "spec sites" have moved to other social media platforms such as Facebook, MeWe, Reedit and chat forums (CGC). These larger user platforms have become troublesome to moderate for people that are not getting paid to do so. If you visit these sites now you will see that they are littered with information that is not relevant to speculation. Maybe 25% is actual speculation, 25% is market reporting and 50% are general questions from new comic buyers / sellers (How do I get a book graded? What's the grade of this? Should I sell or hold this? Here are my Wednesday pickups...etc.., much of the like can be found on CGC)
  9. LOL, no, the people that run this site could buy every spec. site if they wanted based on their business. The owners of this site thrive off of speculation.
  10. Almost all "spec. sites" are. They contain information on new comics and report on sales. Just like this one.
  11. You can choose to see what you want. I'll be over here in reality whenever you want to join us. Pre-Heat Speculation Thread - Get it before it gets HOT Rating spec books Moderns that are heating up on ebay! Comics Scene 31 Die,Naomi,Oblivion song,Pearl
  12. With the last big news a couple issues ago the information came out the Sunday before.
  13. Yup, wait until you read the Kirkman letter at the end of 193.
  14. It's not a rumor though... https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/sandman-tv-series-neil-gaiman-david-goyer-a-go-at-netflix-1220761
  15. This is a spec site, there is a thread for the artist.
  16. And let's not forget that it's available to anyone with a computer the day it comes out. https://www.comixology.com/Marvel-Comics-Presents-2019-6/digital-comic/765161?ref=c2VhcmNoL2luZGV4L2Rlc2t0b3Avc2xpZGVyTGlzdC90b3BSZXN1bHRzU2xpZGVy
  17. This is true of any business. If you go into a venture with a low price to create a relationship with the client, there is a great potential that when you raise your price to market value they will go looking for the next lowball price. Not always, but there is always that potential.
  18. What people fail to realize, it seems, with undercutting is you are perpetuating that act. You think you are the only one who is going to undercut like there isn't someone waiting to undercut you? If you want to realize market value, put it up for auction. No way to be mad about that.
  19. The newer Spawn with the Mattina covers are most likely even lower printed. Yea, undercut the market and worry about yourself. Seems to be the norm these days.
  20. I hope you already got your SS copies. He's headed to the big house.
