  1. Why wouldn't you just order it from the original retailer?
  2. Fantastic Four was out of the picture, yes. But because it wasn't of interest to anyone. Not because they were making a movie (that nobody went to see). The X-Men stuff was always ongoing. They killed Wolverine, right? Um, not really. The Old Man Logan series took its place.
  3. What in the world would make you think that would happen?
  4. On reporting media news? I can't think of one that has been right since they have been using their "inside tipster".
  5. Are you saying this "news" proved not to be true? https://cosmicbook.news/spider-man-deal-7-movies-avengers Update: Additional details include that the plan is to replace Peter Parker in the comics with a new Spider-Man until things get worked out. https://cosmicbook.news/spider-man-venom-canceled-marvel-comics
  6. I know how Comichron works. They don't report any print numbers.
  7. The Universal Postal Union Explained As a result of this unfair rate system, the US government announced that it is going to withdraw from the UPU. If the US moves forward with this withdrawal plan, it could mean big trouble for anyone who sends or receives mail or packages internationally. https://www.ebaymainstreet.com/news-events/universal-postal-union-explained?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign_753391
  8. Wasn't Powers two weeks in a row too? I assume it has to do with reading order. But in reading each I'm not sure it matters really. https://www.howtolovecomics.com/2019/08/19/house-of-x-powers-of-x-reading-order/
  9. It was advertised as being available at D23, yes. Drawn by legendary artist Humberto Ramos with colours by Edgar Delgado, this variant of Marvel Comics #1000 will be given away at D23 Expo 2019 to attendees at the MARVEL COMICS: Marvel 80thAnniversary panel on Saturday, August 24, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. PT at Stage 28, where Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort will take fans through the amazing, incredible, and uncanny history of Marvel Comics, looking back at the history of the Marvel Universe and honoring the iconic characters and timeless stories that have inspired fans all around the world. Marvel did not however let retailers know it was being sent to them. It was listed on shop invoices as "secret variant". If shops would have known they could have sold them earlier and helped ease the supply and demand of the comic.
  10. Using what you can see out your window as a national perspective on things will never give you the full periphery.
  11. Not at all. Marvel hurt their fans, on purpose. It was advertised as being given away at the D23 event this past weekend at a panel. So, it appeared it would be very limited to only those copies. Instead they also sent out one copy to most Diamond retailers who received them unannounced to them yesterday and then a market flood happened, dropping the price.
  12. Absolutely, you could do it every week with the different "flavors". But most don't go from initial price of $500 to $150 in 4 days.
  13. Do you have some comic book print run numbers I can put up against these?
  14. So you're saying none of the people on these boards, let alone the hobby, are adults that read comics as kids?
  15. Cool, I don't visit that click bait site often. Usually trash on there.
  16. That's the non-paying feature. If you pay (and set your phone up to allow) you get "key alerts" which are not made available to non-paying for a couple days or so. Just try it for a month. It's only $2 that way.
  17. New rumors I've been hearing is that the skin tone of a character was off in one of the books. I had heard this when the recall was first announced as well. Now there appears to be proof if you have both copies.
  18. What about Deadpool's Secret Wars #3?
  19. Marvel: 40% of our readers are female and our sales are just fine, thanks Marvel’s David Gabriel, their svp – print, sales & marketing, doesn’t do too many interviews, ... In part two, Gabriel mentions that Disney Stores are now carrying some Disney, Marvel and Star Wars books. Finally. And at Scholastic book fairs, they’re carrying Han Solo, Totally Awesome Hulk, All-New All-Different Avengers, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. So if you wonder why those last two books are still being published, wonder no more. Gabriel also gives big play to the Squirel Girl OGN, which could be a significant release for this format. https://www.comicsbeat.com/marvel-40-of-our-readers-are-female-and-our-sales-are-just-fine-thanks/
